Considering I only got this two days ago...So when I found that I couldn't find an online walkthrough anywhere, I decided to restart my game to do a walkthrough. So I'm not that far, neither have I completed the game so bare with me. Version 0.15 (16.3.05): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Added Dragon Cave - Added Dragon's Backyard Version 0.30 (21.3.05): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Added Cloud Forest - Added Misty Islands - Added Marshland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2 Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kay can't enjoy his usual martial arts training anymore: His home, the beautiful Yanching, is being overtaken by Shun's gorilla army and squads of ugly rats. His people are enslaved: the harmony on Yenching is destroyed. Kay draws his sword - and feces the adventure of his lifetime, taking him across the island Yenching to his final destination, the burning fortress of Waa-Lo! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 Characters ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kay ~~~ Kay is an orphan. He lives with his stepfather "Ucle Shen", but he spends most of his time in the martial arts school with his mentor when he always calls "Master". Due to his youthful light-heartedness and abundant energy he has never refused a fight. Master ~~~~~~ "Master" appears to be very old, but only at a first glance. Many years ago he was the most skilled fighter in ll Yenching. He is still a quick-thinking fox and knows how to surprise his enemies. Su Ling ~~~~~~~ Su Ling is Kay's best friend. She used to live in the City of the Pandas. Besides Kay, she is the Master's only student. She strongly believes in the old wisdoms of "the Path". Shun, Lod of the Gorillas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shun wants to bring back the Age of Great Emperors and has already conquered the Island of Yenching with his powerful armies. Shun allowed the Clan of Rats to return to Yenching because Tak promised him immortality. Tak, King of Rats ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A long time ago he was exiled from Yenching. Now he allied frimself with Shun's armies in order to return to Yenching and carry out a fiendish plan: He intends to build a devilish machine which is supposed to render him invincible and make him the sole sovereign of Yenching. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4 Basic Controls ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Left analog stick - Run/move Kay Right analog stick - Control the camera Square - usually attack. Afterwards, you see Kay running into his Uncle Shen's house. He complains about his master and the recent invasion of Rats and Gorillas. After his Uncle has said his bit, run out of the house and go to the Mayor, Ou Bai. You don't even need to find him, you're instantly there as soon as you walk out of the door. He will give you a quest. After getting it, run to the right. You'll see a lantern. You'll get a little tutorial about what it does. Follow the path to get out of the village. It will take you straight to the Rat camp. You're then sent back to Ou Bai to give him a message. Now you can go to your Master to begin training. Turn left and talk to the guy standing next to the river. You get another small tutorial. Now swing from rope to rope to get to the other side. Remember that cats don't like water! The blue circle tells you how much longer you've got until you drown. When it runs out, you drown. Don't worry though, you don't lose a life. You just lose a Health Point. If you jump while swimming and you land in water again, you lose more time. To swing, press the left analog stick in the direction you want. When he is swinging back, follow the movement. To get off, wait until the end of the swing and then jump. After reaching the first island, keep on going past the cat and house. Go through the cave in the wall and run into the buiding. Now you get you're wooden sword. You learn how to do the triple attack, uppercut and the jump attack. You get a heart container as reward. You see a cut scene. Now you can leave and enter the houses. Go into Kuan Man's (the first cat you see after leaving Saint Wellspring) house, there is three jars in there. Open them by attacking them. You'll get money. Now go to Uncle Shen's house. Inside his house are jars and a green chest. Open it the same way as the jars. Explore the village houses. In the house nearest the village exit (though still inside the village), there is a house. Go in there, in one of the corners (surrounded by two boxes) is a jar with a Health Potion in it. If you go into Ou Bai's house, you can get a Magic Potion and two Hearts. There is a house just ouside the village. Talk to the Cat inside and she says that she can't find her children. Kay tells her that she will find them. Leave the house and go into the Storage Room. In the far corner Dai will be there. Talk to him and he'll run home. Behind Ou Bai's home is Meng. Again, talk to him. If you haven't already, jump on the boxes that Meng was in front of and you'll jump on a tromploine. You'll find yourself in a rope. Keep on going (all the while collecting the crystals) and when you get the end, press Circle. Hit the green box with your sword and get the money. Ignore the Gorilla for the moment and head to the left. Yu Xun gives you a small tutorial and challenges you to reach the top in less than five seconds. It's not that hard. If you keep on going and pass through the hole in the wall, you'll see a Rat chasing some chickens. Unfortunately, you can't attack the Rat no matter how much you try. Keep on going forward towards the Boar in the pen. Nong Bo tells you how to ride it. So press R1 to get on it. Then go forward through the wooden doors and let the race bgin! Remember that X is jump like always. After that, Tang Rong will talk to you and challenges you to a 'game'. The trick is to get two honeycombs on the front and back swing. You get money as a reward. To get out of there, climb the vines. You just have to walk up to them and you'll start climbing. Now go back to the village. Talk to the Cat behind Ou Bai's home. You're taught how to jump up reflection walls. After reaching the top, keep on going until you get to the Cat statue. To activate it, walk up to it until something comes up on your right telling you to press Square. Do it. Now jump over the fence and talk to the young Cat lying there. It's another kid of Tang Mu. That will be all her Kittens. So now return to her house. Your reward is a Heart Container. Go to you Uncle's house and he tells you about Ai Tan. She's lost three pumpkins and it's your job to get them back. Remember the Cat that you passed on the way to the Rat camp? Go talk to her. After getting the quest, you'll see the rope above your head. To get to it, to underneth it beside the two houses. Now do the crouching jump and you'll reach it. Jump onto the platform and activate the cat statue. Jump down and go back to where you learned how to jump from the reflection walls. Now you can get the Yuan Bao from the top of the pillar. Go back to Ai Tan. Enter her house (it's the one on the left) and get the bunch of bananas in the middle of the pumpkins. Leave and go to the Rat camp. The Rat that was guarding the hole in the fence is now gone. Go through it and get the green box. To get to it, just go straight ahead and follow the Rat that should now be in front of you. Now leave (or get yourself caught) and talk to the gorilla standing guard near the Rat Camp. You'll give him the bananas and he'll open the gate. The pumpkins are in plain sight. When you are about top go back into the village, a Boarax attacks the gate. Before you can do anything, the Rat closes the Gate behind you, leaving you to deal with the Boarax. It doesn't matter if you lose. But if you want to beat it, wait (or run about) until the Boarax starts to roar, exposing the amulet around it's neck. Then attack, for me, I kept on using a rolling attack. Be careful because if you get it, it takes off two Health Points. When it's lost half of it's energy, it runs off. You are instantly back with Ai Tan. Your reward is a key. She tells you that Master is looking for him Go back to the village and go to the house that has a lock on it. If you don't know where that is, turn to your right as soon as you get into the village. Destroy the jars and box to get Hearts and money. Now go back to the Master. Now you learn how to defend and how to do the somersault attack (or finishing move). You get a Magicpoint Container for doing them successfully. Now you learn how to do the combo attack. Doing it right gets you an Extra Life. After getting that, you have to put it into practice and learn a bit more on how to control your Chi. You should notice that the river/pond in front of the excerise has yellow crytals in it. After giving the Nettlemead to Master, he will tell you how to use your magic. You only need to hold the Square button for about three seconds. What you get as a reward is a Beserk potion. Now you get one final test. Go to where you had to get the nettlemead. Instead ofhitting the Zhongs, go to the left egde and you will see poles sticking out of the walls. Jump onto them and you start to swing. Jump like you do with ropes. To change direction, press Triangle. Hit the zhongs and press Triangle until you reach the other side. Jump onto the flying fox to collect the red crytals. Repeat the course until you reach the flying fox. Now go through the hole in the Wall. Jump over the break in the bridge and run towards the middle of the plain. Master will come up behind you and tell you to attack him. Do whatever you want, but the fastest way to beat him would be to use your magic and then use your finishing move while he is lying on the ground. It's back to the comic strips. This time it is a Cat telling them to close the fighting school seeing as it was training Cats to be terrorists. Kay loses his temper and starts to shout. He's called a terrorist but before anything happens, Master steps in to say that he will close the school. Later that night, Kay sneaks into Master's home to steal his sword. Kay then runs away into the forest. 5.2 Enchanted Forest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You see a hare and you begin to talk to him. After talking to him, go back to the shop. Buy the Demon Potion. If you have enough money, buy the Heart Container and Magicpoint Container. Leave the shop and go forward. You'll see a Hare appear out of a treetrunk. You ask him how he did that and he tells you that he drank a Demon Potion and he was able to see a magic portal. Drink the Demon Potion. If it's not in the front of your inventory, press L2 until you get to it. Jump through the portal. You'll see a large crytal there, in front of the doorway. If you hit it, it changes colour. To break it, use your magic. You'll get lots of crytals (of that colour) in return. Keep on going until you reach the other side. In one of the boxes is a Magic Potion, so use it and get the other large crystal. To get out, walk into the red pillar of light. Now that you're outside, destroy the jar in front and get a bomb. Keep on going until you get to the zhongs. Do what you learned from Master (the aircombo) and reach the other side. You are now ambused by Rats. You can beat them easily. After that, destroy the jars to get a nest of hornets. You see that large yellow crystal? You can't destroy it yet, but go behind it and free the Hare. For your trouble, you get some money. You can now see a save point. Go up to it. Some of your magic is now replenished. Now you can get the crystal. The door to the Rat Outpost is closed at the moment so go through the hold in the wall. Talk to the Hares in there. They tell you that they need to find their partner how accidenily got catapulted from the catapult. Their partnes also holds the key to the Rat Outpost. So now you have to ride the boar to get deeper into the forest. After riding on it, talk to the Hare who is right in front of you. He tells you that he needs a bomb to get through the wall. Go to the wall that has pillars that looks like a doorframe. Put the bomb right between them and wait for it to blow up. Now go through the hole in the wall. Jump down from the leadge and talk to the Hares. They'll give you a key. Now you can open the gates to the Rat Outpost. Now this is an annoying bit. Before you get there, you see some Rats running away. The next thing you know, you see these chopped trees rolling towards you. Obviously, you have to jump over them. A good thing is the ramps. You can hide behind them once. After that, it's destroyed. After that, you are now in the Rat Outpost where you are ambushed. You see two Rats but that gets a lot larger after a while. Altogether, there are six Rats. Destroy the large crystal and free the Hare. Leave the Outpost and a Rat'll attack you. Except he get's knocked unconsious by a plant. That's got to be embarassing. Keep on going but be wary of the plants. You'll see a pole sticking out of the wall. Ignore that for now and go and get the money in the jars. Now go back and start swinging. Keep on going until you free the Hare from the ledge. There's a wooden path just in front of the ledge. Jump on it. Follow the path (all the while collecting the crystals) and then jump onto the rope. When you get to the second ledge after the second rope, jump off on the side that you can't see. Otherwise you'll end up back in the Rat Outpost. Back up a bit and destroy the jars. Now go forward and through the hole in the wall. You'll talk to a Hare who tells you about a button that the Rats are guarding. Before you beat them, go to the left and get the Beserk Potion in the Red box. Beat the Rats and step on the button. It will raise the ladder part to make a flying fox. Before going down it though, step on the button that it beside it. It will make zhongs appear. Do the aircombo and you'll get a key from the red box. Heal yourself using the Save Point before you climb up and go down the flying fox. In the locked room, there are two jars and a green box. Inside them is money. Use your magic to destroy the large crystal. Now go down the other flying fox. Make sure you are healed because you are about to get into a fight. It's a bear. Use your magic to stun him and then use the sumersault move. Keep on doing this (replace magic with triple attack) and he'll eventually go down. Go through the now open door. Master has caught up with you. He teaches you how to use your combo attacks on enemies. Basically, destroy the zhong in the middle then move the left anolog stick in the direction of the arrow, press Triangle and then attack. Now he teaches you how to do the roll attack, how to roll behind your enemy and how to throw them. Then he leaves you. If you turn to your left, you'll see a small path. Follow it and you'll get money and two Hearts. Now leave. In the Seven Pillars Clearing, you'll see a Hare being attacked by two Rats. They will now attack you. They will also bring some friends. Beat them and the Hare will show you how to get to the Haretree. On the right of the revolving tree is a save point. Before entering the door, go across and hack away at the bambo shoots. You'll see a Cat statue behind them. Activate it. Now go through the revolving door. You'll find yourself in Bug's Nest, complete with bugs flying about. They'll attack you so fight them. Before you're Combos run out, use your aircombo to get onto the ledge and get into the red box. After the second bug, veer to the right and cut through the bamboo. You'll find the second Cat statue. Follow the red crystals. You are now in Haretree. You can't go into any of the houses, so just go up until you get to the house with the open door. You'll talk to the Mayor and he'll tell you about the Dragon Cave. To get there you need three rubies, one of which you saved by saving one of the Hares. So you have to collect the other two and get into the Dragon Cave. As you leave, Tu Lao will open the other Tree- Portals so you can access other places. Go back to the Seven Pillars Clearing and you will be ambushed again by Rats. You'll see Tak transport himself into Dragon's Cave. After beating the Rats, go into the Tree-Portal on the far wall, beside the bamboo you cut earlier. Destroy the jars and beat up the bug. Now jump over the water. Be carful of the pirana's, I don't think you can beat them. The things with thorns on them? Don't land on them. If you do, you get taken to the start, losing a Health Point. Keep on going until you get to the moving lily pad. Land on that and jump on the pole. Destroy the jar and jump from pole to pole. Fall down the hole that has the rope over it, beat the plants and get the money in the chest. Jump back up and swing across the hole. You are now in the Rat Outpost. Beat the rats and put the ruby into the Dragon Statue's eye. Collect a bomb and blow up the section of wall that looks like a circle. In there is a Hare. Free him. Go back to the Seven Pillars Clearing and go through the Tree-Portal that was next to the four jars. Beat the enemies, collect the yellow crystals and break the jars. Jump over the hole but be careful, there is falling rocks. After that, jump down because there is a large crystal there. Now jump back up. To your left you'll see a red box. Jump up to it but there is falling rocks there as well. Go back and jump to the relecting walls. Now you will have a fight. I would sugest beating the Rat first, then aircomboing around the bugs to build up your combos. You don't have a ruby to fill the eye but you can get the Heart Container behind it. Go back to the Seven Pillars Clearing and you will be attacked by Rats...again. When you beat them, go through the gate that they went through. Jump over the spiky plants to the right and hack at the bamboo shoots. At first it doesn't look like there is anything there, but use a bomb near the wall and active the Cat statue behind it. Now go to the right and go through the walkthrough. You'll find out that it was a 'trap'. They'll keep on calling reinforcements. Then the Gorilla with arrive. After beating them, go through the section of the wall that was blocked off. Get both of the Rubys out of the red boxes. The prison on the ledge isn't locked so go free the Hare there. There is a crytal there as well. Get out of there. Go through the door where you saw Tak run through. Jump off the ledge to the Dragon. Put in the Ruby. Before going back, there is another Cat statue underneath the ledge. You have to jump on the pole and swing on the rope to get to it. Use the poles to get back to the ledge. (I don't know where the other Cat statues are. Can someone e-mail me and tell me where the rest of them are?) Now go and buy stuff you want at the shop. Use the save point. Now you can travel over the bridge. Just as you are about to enter the cave, Yu Lao stops you and tells you that the forest is now safe because of what you had done. Now you enter the cave. 5.3 Dragon Cave ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just as you enter the cave, you see a large crystal. Use your magic to break it. if you don't have enough magic saved up, go back to where the shop was, there's a save point right there. Before going up the stairs, go to the left of it. There will be a red box there. Inside will be a Demon Potion. Follow the path and you will find yourself in Dragon's Teeth. You'll have a talk with Tor Chi...Who think's you're a Rat. You tell him that you're a Cat but he doesn't believe you. At this point he starts to blow fire across the room. Before trying to get across, on your right there is a jar with some money in it. Now, to get across, for a start don't get hit! That's obvious. After getting the money, jump down and hide behind the large wooden box. After he has just blown some fire, run out and start jumping over the gaps in the bridge. Make sure that you stay on either the left or right side. He'll move to burn you to a crisp so when he does that, just dodge to the other side. When you get to him, he'll fly off into the next room. You'll see all the red crystals and there are four jars on the left and right. Now onto the next room. You are now in the Dragon's Gut. Go around the room breaking open the two boxes and jars. If you're reading the inscriptions on the slates you'll see that someone has mentioned that you can get a new sword by activating two Cat statues. Before you leave, jump down the basin in the top left corner. If you can't see it, it's underneath the tap. You have now found a secret passageway. With the ladder to your back (you should see a Light spell right in front of you) go towards the Light spell. Turn to your left and travel down the passageway, collecting the crystals and opening the box. When you get to the end and you're seeing that crystal just underneath the root, press Circle and crawl underneath it. Now activate the Cat statue on that end of the root. Go back to the Light spell. Keep on going foreward and crawl underneath the root. Open the box to get a Health Potion. Go back to the ladder. Don't go up just yet. Keep on going and you'll see a red box. Open it and you'll get a Magic Container. Now go back up the ladder. It may take a double jump to get out of the basin. Go through the other passageway. You are now in Dragon's Gullet. Again, Tor Chi doesn't believe that you're a Cat. Try and get all the crystals before he destroys the boxes. When he does, you'll find a Yuan Bao in both of them. Do the same as you did that last time. When you're going up, keep to one side and then go to the other as soon as he has blown a fireball at you. Don't forget to get the crystals on the right hand side after jumping off the moving piece of the floor. He'll fly off as soon as you get to the other side. There's no treasure on the ground so keep on going to Dragonbreath. Break the jars and box. If you read the slate in the room, you'll know that the second Cat statue is nearby. Here's the tricky bit -you have to cross water to get to it. There is no other place to go so get into the water and start swimming. You'll see the first platform pretty much as soon as you jump in. Jump onto that. Go back in, you won't see it but keep to the left and you'll see the second platform in an indented part of the wall. There will be a jar on top of it. Go back in but don't follow the red crystals. First go to the left and get onto dry land. Now go and follow the red crystals. The platforms here are easy to spot. Congradulations, you've now found the second Cat statue. Don't forget to break open all the other stuff in there. Go back to the dry land you were on before following the red crystals. Follow the passage and you'll be in another room. There'll also be a save point there. If you want to see something a little different, go to the left of the room and try to walk into the steam. After destroying the jars, run up the stairs. You're in Dragon's Belly. This is definitely trickier than the other two. This time, the entire floor is moving platforms and down the middle are crystals. And of course Tor Chi is still determinded to burn the living daylights out of you. There isn't a lot that I can say for this except that to jump from one platform to another one horizontally, use a single jump. To jump from one platform to another one which is right in front of you, use a double jump. The best way would be to go in a zig-zag fashion. Good luck. Tor Chi will fly off again when you reach him. nothing there for you so just follow him. Now he can see that you're a Cat and not a Rat. Kay asks Tor Chi is he had seen Tok and Tor Chi tells Kay that he had nearly killed him. He goes on to say that Tak has some Transforming Amulets that turns normally mild mannered animals into monsters. Now that he isn't trying to kill you, go around the room breaking all the jars. On the left hand side of the room, you'll also be able to get into the room that has the sword in it. Now leave through the back. 5.4 Dragon's Backyard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You'll find yourself outside. Go to the left and get the money inside the jars. Now go to the Zhongs. Destroy all the wooden ones. Don't bump into the metal ones as you'll lose Health Point's that way. Now you'll get another set of wooden Zhongs. This time you won't get a guide. You see where the fireflies are flying around this one Zhong? That's your only indication. Go to the top row of Zhongs (the row nearest where the cave in the wall is. If you can't see it, look up) and start to destroy them. When you hit one and the rest suddenly appear again, that's where the pointy bit of the arrow is. Now just copy the metal Zhongs position of what they were like before -even the little indent in the back of the arrow head. If you've done it right, a wooden Zhong will appear beside the cave. Jump and press Triangle to get up there. Now step on the switch on the ground. You'll raise the other frame (I don't know what to call it) so that it makes a flying fox. Before going down, go through the cave entrance. This is another place to ride on a Boar. For the really tight corners, press L1 to tilt to the left. Sometimes if you don't do it quick enough you'll still crash. To make this course worse, you have to jump through hoops. If you don't the Boar will kick you off. I haven't been able to complete this so if you have, can you e-mail me tell me what you get as a reward? Go back out and beat a few of the Zhongs. Now go down the flying fox. You'll find yourself in another trap. If you destroyed some Zhongs, you can use the combos here. They're only Rats so the fight isn't any trouble. Go through what they were protecting. You find out that you need a key to get in. To get the key, you need to ride on another Boar. There are a few jars in the clearing, along with a save point and a switch that brings up the other side of the platform so that you can use it as a flying fox on this side. I found this Boar ride to be really easy compared to the other Boar ride. Just to tell you, there are falling trees in this one and they roll towards you when they've fallen. And be careful in the narrow passageways as you can be thrown off if you collide too hard into the walls in there. When you go to the grassless plain part -it has two acorns next to each other and then on the right hand side there is a ramp- right after that, there is a sharp left turn. After finishing the race you get the key to the locked doors. Now jump off the edge. If you didn't put autosave in options, save now! After going through the locked gates you're faced by a Boarax. This time you have to deplete all of it's energy before it stops attacking you. If you weren't able to beat the Boarax the last time, here's what you do. Run around (keeping the Boarax in your sights). Wait until he stops and begins to roar, exposing his neck. Now attack. A good way would be to use a rolling attack. As soon as you've hit him, run away again. When he charges you, dodge. If he has stars flying around his head run up to him and press Circle. Repeat this until the Boarax finally dies. Don't go too near the walls because there are thorny bushes there. Go through the open door and save at the Save Point. 5.5 Cloud Forest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is one of the most annoying places that I've played so far. The first thing you see is a rotating platform. When the edge is getting closer to you, do a running double jump towards it. If you fall, you'll lose a Health Point, not a life. You may still end up grabiing the edge. Not just wait on the edge and collect the red crystals. The good thing about this part is that the next rotating platform is syncronised with the one you're on. Now jump onto the pole. If you jump onto the lower one, time yourself so that you jump up. It might take a few Health Points to get this right if you keep on landing on the lower pole. Then swing onto the wooden platform. If you go to the left to collect the crystald first, there's a small hole in the ground which you'll fall down if you don't jump over it. On the right, there is a hamster wheel. To make it go up, you have to run to the right while inside of it. On the platform up there is a few jars and a green box there. Now go down the flying fox. There a few more jars there and another green box. Jump across the two rotating platforms. Before going up the hamster wheel, go to the right because there is a red box there. The next part is self explanatory -use the ropes to get across while getting the money in the jars inbetween. This next part is the most annoying part of this. It seems easy enough, jump onto the first rotating platform and get the red crystals. Now turn to the left and you'll see that the rotating platform in front of you isn't in sync with the one you're on. What you have to do is take a running double jump and hope that you end up grabbing the edge or landing right on top of the platform. If you grabbed the edge, jump up and then jump again. If you didn't do the second jump, it's likely that you've ended up on the edge again. Don't try to wait for the platforms to syncronise. It doesn't usually work since by the time you've jumped, it's too far away. I used up half of my life just on this part. Now, you have to jump onto the two poles. I've never been able to jump onto the top one. What you have to do is jump up to the top pole you have to get your swings right so that you'll jump straight up and now forward. This is where I lost most of my life as well. If you land on the right hand side of the pole, move your analog stick so that it's facing left. When you've landed on the platform, in the jars there are three hearts. ;) Use them wisely. All you've got to do now is jump up onto the flying fox and you'll be rewarded with a comic strip scene. 5.6 Misty Islands ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You'll be greeted by a frog (who has a Jamacan accent). He'll invite you to his village. He'll then jump away. Go forward and ignore the trail of crystals and keep on the path. At the end there are two jars. You can't open the box because you need a combo of seven to open it. Now follow the crytals. Don't cross the bridge just yet. If you look to your right, you'll see another piece of a bridge. It isn't complete and it's just overhanging the edge. Go up to it. Change the camera angle to that you're looking the way that you came. You should be able to see a bridge underneath you. Double jump onto it. Now turn around and you'll see the rest of it. When you get to the end of it you'll see a wooden Zhong. Jump up and destroy it. Now keep on aircombo-ing until you can't aircombo anymore. You'll have landed right next to the box that had the lock on it. Inside of it is a new life. Go across the bridge and you'll see the Save Point. You'll also see the wooden Zhong hanging in the air. Aircombo it. Now, instead of trying to jump to the platform on your left, jump to the lower on your right. You'll find a Cat Statue there. You see where the statue is facing? Where all the mushrooms are? You can land on them. Follow them and you'll get another life and a fair bit of money for your troubles. There is also a hole in the ground where you can get two bombs and some money. It looks like you have nowhere else to go but you can land on the logs and driftwood underneath you. There are Bugs there as well. When you land on solid ground, you'll see a ring of red crystals on the ground. As you near it, you'll see that it is a Rat camp. As soon as you beat them, a couple of Turtle's will arrive. When they arrive, so does a couple of Bugs. The Turtle's will be hard to beat because of their hard shells -which they'll use to their full advantage. Before going into the boat, explore the camp. You'll see the red box with the lock on it. above it there are Zhongs. Use them. To the left of that, there are wooden poles which lead to a captured Frog and a Cat statue. When you've gotten control of the boat (press Square), you'll see barrels. If you hit them, or stay too close to them for too long, they'll blow up. When you've gotten to the other side, after going across the bridge, you'll get attacked by Turtle's and Alligator's. After that, go around the houses and collect all the stuff inside the jars. Going back into the centre, you'll see that the shop is there. You'll have enough money to buy all the Heart Containers and Magic Containers while also being able to buy the Claws upgrade on the side...Unless you've already spent your money on ther things. ;P Now go into the Small Turtle Fort. Go to the right and destroy all the jars. The first room you'll see will have the third Cat statue in it. Keep on going and when you see the light spell, there is another room on the right. In there you can get your second weapon: the Claws. It's not good against enemies with armor but it is the only weapon that you can use while swimming. Even more going to the right, you'll see stairs going down. Go down them and free the frog. Nothing else you can do so leave. Facing the shop, go down the walkway on its left. Standing next to the torch and looking left, you'll see bamboo that doesn't look like it should be there (or not like the rest of the graphics). Equip the Claws and jump into the water. Go up to the bamboo and press Square. He'll attack normally. You have now found the fourth Cat statue. Go back to the wooden platform/bridge and now look forward. The next bamboo to cut is in front of you. As soon as you jump onto Forbidden Pathway there will be bombs chucked from above so keep on moving and hope that you don't get hit. Then jump onto the barrels and get across. When you get to the flat rock in the middle of the pathway, if you've gotten all of the Cat statues, you can get across. Go up the path. It's gonna get thinner and thinner the higher you get. It's worth it though, you get another Heart Container. Now, jump onto the rope and keep on jumping down until you land on the lily leaf. It'll begin to move on its own. It'll then speed up so you have to be ready to hit the Zhong. Aircombo and then drop when there aren't anymore Zhongs. Infront of you, you'll see a little walkway. Do the usual. You can land on the lily pads to get to the box in the middle of the swamp. Now go back and you'll see a Save point. Keep on going forward and jump of the edge. Land on the platform and there will be a metal Zhong there. Instead of the usual one to beat it, you have to hit it three times to break it. Land on the platform that has the red box on it. inside it, you'll get another life. Go to where all the lilies are. Where you destroyed the two jars, keep on going forward, landing on the lily pads. You should see some land. This is another Rat camp. They'll be droping bombs from above so keep on moving. If you're lucky, the people will drop the bombs on their allies. To stop the bombs, there is a red chest. Open it and there are loads of bombs there. Leave a bomb at the base of the tower and there won't be anymore bombs being dropped. When you beat the two Rat's and Turtle's, more Turtle's and Rat's will come out, along with some Bugs. After you've beaten them, there is a captured Frog behind the red box. Freeing him, now follow the red crystals. 5.7 Marshland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Frog wil hop up to you telling you that they are under seige from Crocodile's, Turtle's and Gorrila's. You're told that the Croc's and Turtle's have stolen pieces of the key that leads to the Forbidden City. He then hops away when you tell him you'll help. Go forward and jump onto the platforms on your left. Keep on going and go towards the dry land. Go to the shop and buy the Magic Container and if there are any Heart Containers there, buy them. The armor wouldn't be bad either. Now go to the Frog standing there. Talk to him and he'll tell you about the 'Swamp of Death'. Now go back and start going across the logs. After that, jump on the lily pads. If you hit the water, you'll probably get sucked into the whirlpool. Ignore the whirlpool that goes ahead ang go through the one that is one your right. Land on the platform and then start jumping from lily pad to lily pad so that you are going ahead. You're now at the Fortress of Turtles. You'll be confronted by four Turtles and a Rat. As soon as you've dealt with them, Croc's will appear. Beat them. Again, after removing the blockades, explore around to get all the stuff and free the Frog. On the left og the Frog, there is a box. Just jump into the water and swim to the roots, jump up and then get the Health Potion inside it. Now go into the Turtle Fort. As soon as you get in, the door will lock behind you. Since you can't get out, do gown the stairs. You'll be attacked by two Turtles. Now go collect everything in the jars. After doing that, face away from the entrance door. Go to your left. Go into the right pathway and into the Save Point. Doing that, go back out and keep on following the pathway. You'll be attacked again. Go into the armory and collect the stuff in the jars. Now go into the sports arena. You'll be attacked again. Beaing them will bring in more Turtles. Beating all of them lifts the baricade from the Cat statue. Activate that and you'll lower the elevator and open the room next to the sports arena. In the corner where the jars are (not on the shelves), if you go behind the boxes, you'll find a red box and inside it is another life. Go into the room next to the sports arena. You'll be attacked by quite a few Turtles. Beat them, and you'll get a life and a Hornet's Nest. The amulet is in the storage room which is over the elevator.
