This is now the fourth walkthrough and the fifth overall FAQ that I have written and I hope that you find whatever you need in it as I put much time and effort into creating it. I've wanted Rainbow Six 3 ever since it came out as Raven Shield on the PC, as the in-depth gameplay and strategy involved in completing the missions intrigued me. I've always liked squad-based games and Rainbow Six 3 especially caught my eye as a stunning title. When it first came out for XBOX in the fourth quarter of 2003, I immediately bought it, and though it didn't contain as much depth and planning into the missions, it's still awesome. Being a big fan of Counter-Strike, I enjoy the Counter-Terrorist vs. Terrorist action involved. The campaign mode in Rainbow Six 3, consisting of 14 separate missions ranging from stealthy recon to disarming bombs and rescuing hostages, can provide some trouble for the player, especially some of the stealthy, one-man missions. I've written this guide for those people who get stuck on levels whether it be because they keep getting killed or just don't know where to go next. I hope that this guide gives some much-needed help. To the left of your name is your current Stance (standing or crouching). Just below your name are your Heart Rate and Health. You have four bars of Health at the beginning of each mission. If you lose all four, you are dead and automatically fail the mission. When your Health gets low, it's a good idea to use your team more aggressively and take fewer chances yourself. WEAPON INFORMATION Information regarding the current weapon/object appears below your Heart Rate. These include weapon/object name, the number of bullets in the weapon/magazine, a graphic depicting the percentage ammunition remaining in the weapon, and the number of extra bullets/magazines available. In the center of the screen is the targeting reticle, which consists of a circle and a center dot. As you move, the circle shrinks to reflect your loss of accuracy. When you stop moving, the circle expands back to its largest size. The moral of the story is that it's easier to hit a target if you're not moving. TEAM INFORMATION Depending on the mission, John Clark can assign up to three other operatives to support you. Team Health is in the bottom center of the screen and works exactly like your own. Below each Health indicator is an Operative Name, which blinks when that operative is talking. Above the Health indicator is the Team Current Action, which describes what they are currently doing. MINI-MAP In the lower right of your screen is the Mini-Map. The Mini-Map shows you the area immediately around you and helps you navigate the mission areas. If your current objective is within the map display area, it appears as a small Objective icon (X). If it is not in view, an arrow appears along the edge of the map to help you find it. Teammate icons help you keep track of your teammates during missions. Whenever a terrorist takes out one of your teammates, your teammate is replaced with a Man Down icon [X], letting you know where he fell. You can press the Back button at any time to enlarge the map. To help you make quick tactical decisions during missions, each area of the map is shaded. The darkest areas are mainly linear with one way to pass through them. Medium- shaded areas area areas that offer many ways to enter and leave and should be approached with caution. Finally, lightly shaded areas are identical to medium- shaped areas except that the entrances to them or exits from them contain closed doors. These areas are ideal for using Zulu Go-Codes to allow you and your team to enter the same area from different places at the same time. O====================================O >--------- e. How to Play ---------< O====================================O THE ENVIRONMENT You play the part of Ding Chavez, an elite Rainbow counter-terrorism operative trained to the limits of human capabilities. You lead a team of four operatives, and your mission is to neutralize terrorists and save the world. To keep you identities hidden, your only official link to the outside world is through John Clark, you boss. He receives requests from governments around the world for your very special services and subsequently dispatches you on missions. Rainbow only gets called after all other options have been exhausted on situations and international importance. That means when you go in, hit hard and fast! Besides you and your teams, there are two other types of people in the world: Terrorists and Hostages. Terrorists, or "tangos," are the bad guys. The rules for dealing with terrorists are simple and straightforward. Shoot anyone with a gun and secure anyone without one. Dealing with hostages requires more caution. If a hostage dies, you automatically fail the mission, so when entering an area with a hostage, you must quickly identify friend from foe. Some tangos will have orders to execute hostages at the first sign of trouble so you'll have to deal with them quickly. LOOKING AND MOVING AROUND To look around, simply move the right thumbstick. To move around the world, use the left thumbstick. Moving fast greatly increases the amount of noise you make and also makes shooting much more difficult. PEEKING AND CHANGING STANCE Peeking is extremely useful for looking around objects without completely exposing yourself to enemy fire. Peek using the D-pad left and D-pad right buttons. When you're trying to avoid being shot or detected, it also helps to minimize your Stance. You can toggle between standing and crouching by clicking the left thumbstick. This causes you to move slower but you make less noise and provide enemies with a smaller target to shoot at. NIGHT AND THERMAL VISION Night vision allows you to see clearly in the dark. Press the Y button to toggle night vision on and off. It depicts the world as shades of black and green. Thermal vision is useful for highlighting heat signatures, such as people, and hot objects like fires. The B button switches Thermal Vision on and off. Thermal vision also lets you see through some doors and objects, which makes it extremely useful during Recon missions. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= INTERACTION =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Interacting with your environment is extremely important in Rainbow Six 3. it allows you to do everything from opening doors to securing surrendered terrorists. To interact with your environment, move near to and look at an area/object you can interact with (e.g. a door, hostage, or surrendered terrorist). When a Player Action icon appears at the bottom center of the screen, press the A button to perform the action the icon represents. If the action involves a door, you also have two other controls you can use: Fluid Open and Close. To fluidly open a door, press up on the D-pad. To fluidly close a door, press down on the D-pad. ORDERING YOUR TEAM To order you team to interact with the environment, simply look at the object area where you want them to do something. When a Team Action icon appears in the bottom center of the screen, press the A button to order your team to perform the default action. You will know it is a Team Action icon by the brackets around it (without brackets, it would be a Player Action). You can also press and hold the A button to display the Quick Order Interface, which contains a complete list of available actions. These include: Open & Clear; Open, Frag & Clear; Open, Flash & Clear; Breach & Clear. To issue an order in the Quick Order Interface, press the corresponding direction on the D- pad. ZULU AND CLEAR TOGGLES Some locations have more than four orders associated with them and use the Zulu Order (left trigger while in the Quick Order Interface) and Clear Order (right trigger while in the Quick Order Interface) toggles. The Zulu order toggle tells the team to wait to execute the order until you give them the Zulu Go- Code (White button). This allow you to be somewhere else when the team performs the order, so you can enter a room from one entrance the same time your team enters from a different entrance. The Clear Order toggle tells the team to rush into the room and engage all tangos after performing the order. Basically it is the default in the Quick Order Interface. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= USING YOUR WEAPON =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= RETICLE The reticle consists of a circle and a center dot. All you have to do to hit a terrorist is to put the center of his chest or his head inside the circle or put the center dot on any part of his body. To hit any other object, you need to put the center dot on it. FIRING To fire your currently selected weapon, simply pull the right trigger. If the weapon is an automatic, it will continue to fire until you release the trigger. If it isn't, it will only fire a single shot with each trigger pull. When you fire, the screen jumps, and the smoke and flash from the weapon blind you. So whenever possible, fire short bursts of three to five rounds. RELOADING To reload your weapon, press the X button. This removes the current magazine from the weapon and replaces it with another. Try to reload whenever you get a chance, because there's nothing worse than being in the middle of a firefight and running out of ammunition. ZOOMING You can use the zoom of your weapon by clicking the right thumbstick. This gives you a better view of your target, but slows down your looking and turning speed. Sniper rifles, unlike other weapons, have two zoom levels. BULLET PENETRATION OF DOORS For pure gameplay reasons, bullets only penetrate doors. They do so based on the door material and the bullet's energy when it reaches the door. Bullets are less lethal when they emerge from a door, but for large-caliber weapons like the M82A1 .50 cal sniper rifle, it really doesn't make much of a difference. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= OTHER EQUIPMENT =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Besides firearms, there are a number of different items you can take into missions. To bring up the Inventory menu, press and hold the X button. To select a piece of gear, simply press the corresponding direction on the D-pad. You can also Quick Switch between your primary and secondary weapon by puling the left trigger. GRENADES There are five grenades to choose from in Rainbow Six 3: * Frag - Explodes, inflicting damage. * Flash Bang - Temporarily disables anyone near the blast. * Gas - Creates a cloud of toxic gas that temporarily incapacitates anyone not wearing a gas mask. * Smoke - Creates a large cloud of white smoke. * White Phosphorus (WP) - Creates a small, white cloud and explodes, burning everything nearby. To throw a grenade, simply look in the desired direction and pull the right trigger. You'll have to get used to judging the range, so practice throwing a few before you get into combat. You can also pull and hold the right trigger to pull the pin on the grenade but not throw it. As soon as you release the trigger, you throw the grenade. EXPLOSIVE CHARGES AND MINES There are three different types of explosives in Rainbow Six 3: Breaching Charges, Remote Charges, and Claymore Mines. Use Breaching Charges to destroy doors and temporarily stun those on the other side. But beware - anyone standing close to the door will receive damage. To place a Breaching Charge, look closely at a door and when the Place Charge reticle appears, pull the right trigger. After you place the charge, a detonator appears in your hand, allowing you to detonate at any time or on command. Remote Charges and Claymore Mines deploy on the ground near your feet when you pull the right trigger. Remote Charges are basically frag grenades that you detonate on command, while Claymore Mines are similar, but only inflict damage right in front of them. M203 GRENADE LAUNCHER The M203 Grenade Launcher is an incredibly powerful weapon and must be used with caution. Its grenades are similar to the handheld ones, but are not quite as effective. When fired, they explode on contact. There are four different rounds available for this weapon: * High Explosive (HE) - Explodes on contact, inflicting damage. * Gas - Explodes on contact, creating a cloud of toxic smoke. * Smoke - Creates a large cloud of white smoke. * Red Phosphorus (RP) - Creates a small cloud of red smoke and explodes, burning everything nearby. We have a hostage | | situation in Switzerland. It seems that an unknown | | group of terrorists have attack the G8 economic | | meeting early this morning, and things have escalated | | to a level where the Swiss Government is formally | | requesting our help. The terrorists took members of | | the Venezuelan Delegation hostage in the village near | | the conference and are demanding that Venezuela stop | | selling oil to the US in exchange for their release. | | Obviously, both the Venezuelan and American | | governments are a little upset over this, especially | | since the terrorists took the Venezuelans hostage and | | let the other delegates go. | | | | The reports the local police have given us indicate | | that the terrorists are neither well organized, nor | | armed. The one thing they do have in their favor is | | numbers. You're going to be facing roughly three to | | one odds when you go in, but I expect your training | | and skill to make the difference here. Look down this path and you should spot an enemy. Take him out and then turn back left and continue going straight on this path past a car to a house and a fence. When you reach the fence, turn right and eliminate the enemy on the little slope here. Now proceed up the slope and continue ahead until you come to a split. Take the left path and then zoom to spot an enemy ahead. Take him out and then make your way to where he was, at another split. Look to the right and take out the enemy in that direction, and then take the left path again until you reach a little opening with a red tank thing in front of you. Take out the enemy to the right of the tank and then creep into the area. You should notice a little fence between two houses just to the left. There is an enemy camping there, waiting to shoot you as you turn your back and head the other way, so hold the X button and switch out your MP5 for a Frag Grenade. Throw the grenade into the fenced area, banking it off the further house and once it explodes, switch back to your primary weapon and make sure he's dead. Now head the opposite direction from the fence and you should come to a door with a bright light hanging beside it. Open the door yourself and then enter the building. o---------------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Fight your way into the village. | o---------------------------------------------------------o o----------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------o Once inside, make your way through the doorway to the left and in the next area, you should notice a ladder to the left. Ignore it and continue on into a little wine barrel room. Continue on into the next room and then proceed through the doorway to the right. Eliminate the tango near the fireplace in this room and then check up the stairs in the center of the area for any more terrorists. Take out anyone you see, but do not head up the stairs; instead, continue on past them and you should see another flight of stairs leading down. Crouch and look in the gap between the floor and the stairs for a terrorist. Take him down and then wait for another one to walk by (you should see his shadow on the floor here. Give him a nice headshot and then had down the stairs into the room below. Check out your shadow on the wall if you wish and then proceed to the door at the back of the room. Open it into another small room, and then open the door here to get back outside in a little alleyway between buildings. Clark will tell you that you don't want to get caught in a crossfire, so continue on ahead, making a right at the end. Take out the enemy in the distance and then proceed to the end of the alley cautiously, looking to the right and up as you do. There will be a terrorist standing on the ledge above as well as in the bell tower of the church and in front of the church, so eliminate these three threats and then proceed to the side door into the church just ahead. In this first room, there will be a door in front of you and a door on the wall to your left. Look at the door to the left and hold A to bring up the Quick Order Interface. Now pull the Right Trigger to toggle the Zulu commands and have your team Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu. Now open the other door in the room but do not enter just yet. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code (White button) and then take about ten seconds to let your team make their entrance before entering the blue curtain to your left and helping out. Take out all terrorists in this room, but do not shoot the woman at the altar. A couple more enemies will come out of the doors on either side of the building, so be cautious of them and eliminate them when they show. Once you're done, press the Black button to get your team to follow you again, and then head out the door to the right of the altar as you are facing it. There will be an open doorway to your right. Now before entering, throw a smoke grenade a few meters into the hallway and then give it some time to create a good smoke barrier for you. Now enter the hallway with your thermal vision on (B button) a few enemies will come running out of doorways on either side of the hallway, so take them out as you see their heat signatures. Thanks to your smoke, they won't even know that you're there. Now look through one of the windows to the left and shoot down the terrorist in the area outside, and then proceed into the furthest doorway on the right. You should notice a bookshelf that's been pushed aside on the left near the far wall. Head through here and down the stairs into a dark room. There aren't any enemies in here, but switch on your night vision (Y button) since it can be hard to see. Make your way under the archway to the right as you get of the stairs to another large room, and then cautiously enter another archway further ahead to the left as you enter. Peek left into the hallway it leads to and take out the terrorists behind the barrels. Now slowly make your way to the barrels and then look a little to the right. You should see the second hostage with a terrorist right beside him. Give him a single shot to the face and then creep further down the hallway, nearing the room. Switch on the thermal vision and you should notice the arm of another tango behind a cabinet ahead. Shoot him down and, before rescuing the hostage, proceed over to the left where some cabinets and barrels block your path. Switch back to night vision and eliminated the terrorists standing on the other side of the obstructions. Another one will come out the door just behind the first so take him out as well. Now look back over to the right to the archway near the hostage where another terrorist should have appeared. Now proceed ahead along the path and you will come to some Swiss police vehicles. Once you see them, shoot the terrorists you see just between them though a little further off, and then go on a little further until you can see some windows on the second floor of the building ahead. Shoot down the sniper in one of the windows and then continue on ahead. A couple more terrorists will run out of the large entrance at the bottom of the garage, so be prepared and take them down as well. Now make your way into the tunnel itself, ignoring the entrance to the building as you can't go any farther from there. In the tunnel, you should spot the fuel truck with the bomb right beside it. Tell one of your teammates to defuse it while you cover. o------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse fuel truck bomb. | o------------------------------------------------o o----------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------o If you go a little further into the tunnel from the bomb, you will notice some stairs up to a raised ledge. A terrorist will come out from the ledge with a barrel and board blocking the path as well as from the doorway behind you as you defuse the bomb. Take them out and then proceed up the steps leading back the way you came and through the doorway where an enemy came through. You will come to another doorway on your right. As you enter it cautiously, look to the right as there will be a terrorist there. You can also peek inside the doorway looking that direction, but whichever way, take him out and proceed in the direction of his body. In the room at the end of the hallway, look out for a tango among the truck in the lower part of the room. You can throw or launch a grenade there if you wish to kill or scare him out, but after you kill him, watch out for another terrorist behind the stack of crates opposite the doorway you entered through. Take him out and then open the doors at that end of the room and proceed into the little hallway there. Be wary as a terrorist might come through the door to the left here, but if not, just open it and take him out in this room beside the stairs. Now slowly ascend the stairs, looking backwards and up as you do and take out the terrorist standing at the top before continuing on up the stairs. Once at the top, open the door here and then proceed through another door just to the right. In the small room that follows, open the door over to the left to enter a small hallway with some doors on either side. There is no one in the door just to the right, but enter it and then open the door near the back left corner of the room. In the room that it leads to, take out the terrorist behind the desk and then proceed out the double doors to the left. Now back track a little and open the door just to the left. Eliminate the terrorist in here, but if there isn't one here, he is in the hallway somewhere and you might've already taken him out. Now continue on down the hallway, making a left where it turns and then another left and you should come to a doorway at the end. The next area should be approached with caution, as you are on a ledge overlooking a large area below with a couple terrorists. Seek them out and shoot them down and then proceed on down the ledge and through the doorway at the end. Head through the doorway to the left here and down the stairs, taking out the terrorist here as you make your way down and into the area below the ledge you were just on. Continue straight ahead through another doorway, provided that all enemies are taken out, and then take a left, heading down the hallway. When you come to a path on your left, follow it to a door, and tell your team to Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu. Now continue on down the hallway to another door on your left (there is another one further down and you can use that if you wish). Give your team the Zulu Go-Code, and then after about 5 seconds, enter the door and help clear the room, without shooting the hostage. Watch out for a terrorist among the rafters up above and one shooting from above the truck with the headlights on to the right in the garage. Take them all out and then secure the hostage. o----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure 2nd hostage. | o--------------------------------------o Clark will tell you about the whereabouts of the second hostage, but first, press the Black button to get your team to follow you again and then save your progress. Proceed now to where the parked truck is and then head right from there into a hallway. Follow it down, but beware where the light is. Just keep looking down until you can see your shadow, and then look up and you should see some pipes on the ceiling and a ledge. Turn around and walk backwards, looking at the opposite ledge and you should see a terrorist hiding. Pick him off and then continue on down the hallway to some double doors. Open them and then open some more to your right in the next room, to get into a large room. Takeout two terrorists you can see in front of you and then proceed through the long room to some doors at the end. Open them, carrying on through the hallway it leads to, and back down a parallel hallway at the end. You should come to a door and you should also be hearing vehicle engines. Open the door to get back out into the tunnel and shoot down the tango just to the right. There are a few more to the sides of the tunnel, amongst the many cars, so be careful to spot them and pick them off. Now make your way further down and when you reach another large fuel truck. Look to the right behind some cars and you should spot another terrorist hiding. Shoot him in the face and then proceed past the fuel truck, taking out a few more terrorists here. You can either take them out or shoot the red barrel a little further off in that direction, which in turn will explode and cause the two terrorists to catch on fire, killing them. Kill them however you choose before they can get a good shot on you, and then proceed to the stairs just to the right of the exploding red barrel. Make your way down these stairs and into the door at the bottom. Once inside, make your way up the steps to the left and continue on the walkway up here until you reach some gas stuff coming from a rusty pipe above. There should be a door to the right and a room to the left. Peek around the corner to the left and take out the two tangos in the room here, and then enter the room, hugging the wall on the right. You will soon come to a door here with a NO SMOKING sign to the right of it. Enter this door and continue through the doorway in the small linking room to reach some stairs in an outside area of the facility. Head up the flight of stairs and as soon as you turn your back to the windows on your left and make for the doors ahead, a terrorist will run up and try to get you from behind. Catch him first, and shoot through the window to take him out and then proceed to the doors ahead. Have your team open the one to the right while you enter the one to the left and take out the three enemies in this room. Now regroup with your team and enter the second doorway on your right. You will come to a split, where you should head left. You should be hearing the rhythmic beep of the first bomb by now. Continue on and you will come to the bomb. Have one of your team members defuse it while you watch for enemies that come and try to shoot you through the gated wall just behind the bomb. Take out the enemy that appears on the other side of the gate while you defuse the bomb and then look back right down the hallway for another one that comes running. o-------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse bomb. | o-------------------------------------o o-----------------------------------o | New Objective: Defuse 2nd bomb. | o-----------------------------------o Now head back the opposite way (down the way you came towards the bomb and you should reach a doorway on either side at the end of the hallway. The door to the left will be open, so lob a grenade there, banking it off the wall to kill a terrorist who otherwise would have come running at you with a little sub- machine gun once you entered the doorway. You will be in another outside area where stairs area, so make your way down them and open the door at the bottom, entering an area with cool lighting effects. There is a terrorist amongst the canisters just to the right as you enter the door, but he won't show himself until he can see you clearly. So head over to the right slowly and when you can see his torso through the chain-link fence, pick him off. Now continue on, still looking in that direction and you should see another enemy by some crates. Take him out and then slowly proceed that way while looking to the left. Eliminate the tango kneeling in the hallway in front of a doorway and then continue on the way you were going. There will be a couple more doorways at the end here to your left, so enter either of them and cautiously make your way through the room, taking out any enemies you come across. Some of them may have run out and attacked you already, so I don't know how many there will be and where they are. Make your way to the back wall in here and then head left, hugging the wall, and up a few steps to a doorway. Have your team Open, Flash & Clear this door on Zulu, and then make your way down the steps, making a right around the machine and then another right through the doorway here. Once through the doorway, head right again to a closed door, leading to the same room as your comrades, and give your team the Zulu Go-Code. After the flash bang grenade goes off, enter the room as well and guard the bomb ahead, making sure no one comes to set it off. Also, look up at the windows above and take out the tangos up there. Two of the like to come from the further one on the right, another after you kill the first, so watch out for them. Once all terrorists are eliminated in this room, defuse the bomb. o-----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse 2nd bomb. | o-----------------------------------------o o----------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------o Well that wasn't so bad now was it? Anyways, this is a good time to save your progress on this level, as you only have one more objective to complete. Press Black to regroup the party and then head up the steps in front of you, as you entered the room and the proceed right down the hallway, shooting down the terrorist at the corner. Follow the path down to a doorway at the end, leading to yet another outside section with stairs. Proceed up them, but as you approach the top, watch the top of the building to your right. A terrorist will spring up there, but catch him before he gets you. Now open the doorway to the left from the top of the stairs and look over to the left as you enter the room. There are two enemies there, whether they show themselves or not, so shoot them down if you can see them or launch or toss a grenade if you can't. Once it's safe, proceed that way and through a couple doorways to a fork (in the path). Take the right path first to a door, and order your team to Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu via the Quick Order Interface, and then head back to the split, continuing on the left path to another door. In this narrow, outside area, you should notice a slim window looking into the room that your team will flash and enter on your call. Give them the Zulu Go- Code, and once the flash bang goes off, head up to the window and eliminate any tangos you see. Once the room is clear, join your team through the door to the left of the window and press Black to get them to follow you again. Now proceed just left around the corner to another door. Put a few rounds from your rifle through the door before it's opened to see if you can hit anything, and then open it, taking out the two terrorists ahead if you didn't hit either of them. Now make your way down the hallway, making a left and then a right to a door at the end. Open it and then quickly shoot the red barrel ahead of you to make it explode, killing at least on enemy. Now take out any more enemies you see on the platforms above the ground and also any terrorists you spot on the ground. Now make your way down the steps and over to where the burning barrel is. Turn around and you will notice the door ahead of you on ground level opening. Shoot down the two terrorists that come out. The door above to the left also opens, but no terrorists came out when I played, but be wary of it anyways. Now continue down some more steps to ground level and proceed through the open doorway ahead. Continue on to the right down a hallway, past some more chain- link wall to the left and through a doorway immediately to closed door. This room can be tough, especially if you're low on health, but open the door and you should notice another red barrel off near the far wall. Shoot it to make it explode and though it won't catch any terrorists on fire, it will cause a couple to come from the right and show themselves, allowing you to take them out. Now enter the room and you should see a terrorist appear o the ledge above the far wall. Take him out and then proceed further into the room, only to be interrupted by a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) flying from the right of the screen and hitting the large white pillar on the left. Clark informs you that they are using RPGs, rather than bombs, to take down the place, and you can fail the mission if you let the pillar be destroyed. So hurry up and make your way ahead and to the right where the tango with the RPG is and take him out quickly. Now the large warehouse door behind you will open and a few more terrorists will come out and attack you from there. Weber, your only teammate on this mission, will inform you that the door has been barricaded, so continue on the walkway until you come up to another door at the corner of the estate. Open the door and take out the terrorist guard here in the kitchen. He's only got a silenced pistol so he can't do very much damage to you. Now continue on through the doorway to the right out of the kitchen and then continue on down the stairs to the far left in this next area to reach a room with many couches. Proceed on ahead to a hallway, but do not enter it yet. Throw a tear gas grenade near the door you see on the right wall there. A terrorist will enter the hallway from the door but encounter the gas. Take him out as he can't do much and then enter the hallway, shooting down another terrorist here. Make your way down the hall to another door on the right and carefully open it, eliminating the terrorist inside. Now continue on up a couple of steps but then head back down and away from the area as a tango will throw a grenade at the foot of the stairs. Now peek around the corner again and take down the terrorist that is peeking from the corner at the top of the stairs. Slowly proceed up the stairs, looking back to the right, where a bulletproof glass panel is. The terrorist standing in the hallway over there should notice you and unload a full clip. When he is reloading. Pop up and take him out. Now look back to the left, where two doorways are. There is another tango hiding in either of those linked rooms, so throw a gas grenade to scare him out and then shoot hi down once he shows himself. Continue on down the back to the right, where you took out a terrorist previously, and then open the door at the end. If you move quickly and are accurate, you can take down the terrorist to the left before he gets away, but it's pretty hard to. Just let him run off down the hall and go near where he was and peek around the corner. Take out the terrorist just to the left of the end of the hallway, and then eliminate another terrorist beside the other corner of the room that you are using as cover. The enemy that fled from where you are will be around there as well, so you will be taking out three tangos in all right here. Now proceed down the hall and you ill see some stairs heading up to a door on your right and stairs leading down on your left. Head up the stairs to the right for now and enter the master bedroom up here. You will see two doors ahead at the back wall, which lead to the bathroom where a couple terrorists are guarding the CEO's wife. Have Weber Open & Clear the right door, while you open the left one simultaneously. Make sure you shoot down the terrorist just to the left of the woman, as he will kill her if you don't take him out immediately, ending the mission. Once they are dealt with, get the hostage to follow either you or Weber. o-------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Rescue CEO's wife. | o-------------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Escort CEO's wife to CEO. | o--------------------------------------------o As soon as you secure the CEO's wife, a terrorist will come running into the bedroom to try and take you out. Be prepared for him and shoot him down before he can hurt you and then proceed out of the master bedroom and back down the steps. Now start heading down the stairs leading downwards that you ignored at first. But throw a tear gas grenade near the bottom, as there are a couple terrorists waiting for you. Eliminate them as you see them and then continue on into the piano room and listen to "Ave Maria" as much as you want. Near the far corner of the room, there will be two doorways. If only one tango attacked you on your way down, there will be another one usually in the room on the left. Shoot him down and then enter that room on the left, ordering Weber to Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu. Now head back into the piano room and enter the doorway just on your left to a room with a big television. Head over to the door opposite the TV, and you may want to save now, as the next areas can be tough. Open the door and then take a step into the room before backing out and taking cover. As soon as you enter, terrorists will come from the two doors in front of you and on the balcony above and ahead of you. Give Weber the Zulu Go-Code and he will flash bang the area to incapacitate the terrorists on ground level. Enter the courtyard again and quickly take out the enemy on the balcony before going for the others, which Weber should be taking care of. Once the courtyard is clear, proceed through the left door of the two in front of you. There will be another terrorist hiding behind a low wall in here, but hopefully Weber has taken him out already. Continue on ahead to the door just past the low wall. The one on the right leads to a bathroom with no one in it so ignore it and carefully open the door ahead. Take out any terrorists you see in front of you, and then lob a tear gas grenade just around the corner. Eliminate two other terrorist who come running at you, though afflicted by the tear gas, and then continue around the corner and down the hallway to another door. Open it and take out the one terrorist guarding the CEO, who is tied to a chair that's been toppled over by some dead guards. Secure him and Clark will tell you to keep the area secure until a helicopter arrives to take you away. o--------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Escort CEO's wife to CEO. | o--------------------------------------------------o o----------------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Defend hostages until extraction. | o----------------------------------------------------o Make your way back into the hallway with Weber and press the Black button so he holds. Now, occasionally peek out of the doorway, while crouching so the enemy cannot see you as well, and take out any terrorists that you see. Be sure to watch the balconies especially as many terrorists come up there. Down on the ground, the terrorists won't enter the area where you found the CEO, but they will stay outside the low wall and peek up from it. Take them out too and after you eliminate a certain number of terrorists, you will have completed the mission Be sure to make use of your silenced pistol here to stay a little more covert, and check spots over and over again as enemies tend to appear in the same areas. After a certain number of terrorists have been eliminated, a helicopter will appear overhead and shoot down some more. Make your way along the linear path, taking two rights and you should see a truck ahead of you. Peek around the corner to the left and take out the terrorist that patrols here. Once he is eliminated, two more terrorists show. There is a sniper up on the huge crane to the left and one that appears on the large crates to the left as well. Once you have eliminated them, make a left from the truck and you will come to a path on your left. Now if you look through the right angle between the large blue and red crates on either side of the pathway, you can spot a red barrel that explodes. Once you see it, show it to make it explode and kill a terrorist nearby. Now proceed into the area and take out two more enemies here over to the right near a garbage bin and then make your way that way. Continue on into the lit warehouse where many large spools are and enter the door at the back. DO NOT head to the back of this room. There is a sniper somewhere outside the window to the left waiting to shoot you as you pass by it. I guess you could throw a smoke grenade and then try and find him and pick him off, but I've never tried it, and it's pretty fruitless. Instead, continue on through the doorway just to the right, keeping your eye on the door ahead as an enemy will sometimes come from there. Open the door at the end of the hallway and enter the stairwell, taking out the terrorist to the right if he did not show earlier as you do. Now ascend the stairs and enter the door at the top. In the next room, watch the hallway ahead of you for a terrorist that shows. Take him out and then head left to another hallway. There are a couple more terrorists on your left as you make your way down this hallway, one behind a desk and one at the far corner. As you are shooting, another terrorist might also run from the right and enter the fray. Pick him of as well, but if he doesn't show, head right from the end of the hallway and look for him in the other hall. Once he's gone, open the door in the far right corner of the room and you will see some steps leading down in front of you and a room to the left. Enter the room and tell your team to hold with the Black button. Now ascend the ladder in this room to get on top of the building. Check out the area in the warehouse below. You probably notice the ticking of the bomb, but it appears as if there are no terrorists in sight. Shoot one of the red barrels to make it explode and suddenly the enemies will appear from behind crates and such. Stay crouched to remain slightly hidden and pick them all off. Watch the platform to the right and the door that it leads to as well, as a terrorist may come from there. Once all threats have been eliminated, climb back down the ladder, regroup with your team and then start making your way down the stairs you first saw when entering this area. Make your way down one flight of stairs and the head over to the left and you should see a doorway with a green sheet in front of it. Enter the lower area of the warehouse through there and then head over to the bomb on your left. Disarm it or have someone from your team disarm it, and then Clark will advise you of another bomb below you. o-------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse bomb. | o-------------------------------------o o-----------------------------------o | New Objective: Defuse 2nd bomb. | o-----------------------------------o Make your way back through the green sheet-covered doorway and then head just to the left of the clipboard on the wall in front of you for a little hallway. Make a little U-turn to the right at the end and make your way down this flight of stairs, and then another one around and to the left down to a doorway that was previously closed. Head over to the left where some power generators are and you should hear the beeping of the second bomb, which is in the large warehouse in front of you. Before you head into there, head left past a couple of the generators, and in the gap between the second and third, you should see a door. Open it and kill the terrorist inside and then head back up to the warehouse wall. Make your way back over to the right and have your team Open, Flash & Clear the doorway here. Head back left to an already opened doorway and once you hear the flash bang grenade go off, enter and take out the one terrorist in here. Now, notice the two large square panels in the ceiling. They will open and terrorists will ambush you from up there as soon as you defuse the bomb, so get a good position by some crates near the corner of the room, and maintain in a crouched position. Tell your team to defuse the bomb and keep your eye on the panels. There are maybe three up there so take them all out before moving on. o-----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse 2nd bomb. | o-----------------------------------------o o-----------------------------------o | New Objective: Defuse 3rd bomb. | o-----------------------------------o Press the Black button to regroup with your team and then head out the doorway you came in. Make a right as soon as you exit and through another doorway that was previously closed. You may want to save now as well, if you haven't already. Now in this next long hallway enemies will attack you from the front and the back at the same time, so be prepared. Enter the hallway heading left and watch the doorway up ahead in the distance. As it opens, take out the two terrorists that show from the room and then swing back around and help your team take out two more from the room behind you. Hopefully the tangos won't shoot the red barrels in the hallway, which might hurt your team. Once they're eliminated, continue on the way you were going and you should come to a staircase just off to the left heading the same way you are before a red barrel. Make your way down these stairs and peek around the left from the doorway at the bottom and take out the terrorist standing there in the large room. Now enter the room and get some cover by the crates, eyeing the stack of crates with the two red toolboxes in front. Three terrorists come from behind there, so keep an eye out for them and pick them off as they show. A few more terrorists come from the right and left further down the room, so maintain your position and take them out as you see them. You may have noticed that a timer has started, giving you 1:30 to defuse the final bomb. No big deal, it should be plenty of time. When it's clear, proceed forward and you will hear one of the large grey doors above slide open. Eliminate the terrorist up there and then proceed to the back of the area. Head right from there to an area that is empty, and continue on into another section where the bomb is. Creep into the room, looking to the right and shoot down four terrorists you can see guarding the bomb. You will hear another large door opening, so look up and to the left where two more terrorists are standing and pick them off before they get you. Put a few rounds straight ahead through the doors and you might hit the terrorist standing in the hallway here. You should hear him make a noise if you hit him. Now open the door and take him out if you hadn't and then proceed to the first door on the right. Put a few rounds through here aiming down and to the right and then open the door to make sure the terrorist in here is dead. Now continue on further down the hallway. Just around the left corner is another terrorist, if he hasn't shown himself already. He will throw a smoke grenade before shooting so that should give you some time to take him out. Now back track a little to some double doors on the right as you entered the hallway. Open the doors and eliminate the terrorist at the far right corner of this first dark room. Now head over to the left into a brighter room and take down the tango here before continuing along around the room to some more doors to the left. Open these to get back into the hallway and then continue on to the right. You will come to some doors at the end, which you can't open, and a doorway to your right, so enter there and open the door in this small room to get to another small room. Continue on and open the door ahead and shoot down the two terrorists you see ahead. They can be kind of hard to take down as their bodies are covered by the cubicle wall so just lob a frag over there to make sure they are dead. Switch back to your UMP or whatever your primary weapon is and then slowly strafe right while looking over to the left to eliminate two more enemies in the room. Now head through the doors here to hear some new, dramatic music (though I don't know why). Turn around and head down the hall this way, and once you turn the slight corner, take out the terrorist at the end of the hall near the doors that you couldn't open, which are open now. You should be near some double doors on the right now, so carefully open them from an angle and then lob a smoke grenade right near the entrance. Give the grenade some time to smoke up and then enter the room and take out any terrorist heat signatures you see. There are some behind the cubicle walls and one to the right in the little conference room. Eliminate them all from cover of your smoke and then proceed to the back right corner of the room where more doors are. Open them and enter the cafeteria area. There are no enemies here so just make your way around to the left and back towards some more doors. Pass through this doorway into the stairwell and make your way up two flights of stairs up to some more doors. Proceed with caution, as though the stairs up to the third level are blocked, an enemy hides behind the downed cola machine, so look back there and take him out when you see him or lob a grenade that way. Now open the doors on the second floor and shoot down the enemy in this hallway. Proceed ahead and put a few shells through the first door on the right. Open it and kill the two tangos in here and then proceed out the door to the left here to get back into the hallway. Now head right around the corner to a door on the left and enter it. Tell your team to Open, Flash & Clear the door in this room on Zulu and then continue on left down the hall. Pass some double doors on the left and enter the single door just to the right. Shoot down the terrorist in this room and then give your team the Zulu Go-Code. Once the flash bang goes off, look into the room and take out any terrorists you see, while being careful not to shoot the lady hostage. Once all tangos are down (only two total), secure the woman, who will tell you about how rough the terrorists are. o----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure 2nd hostage. | o--------------------------------------o Once she is secured, head out the double doors in this room to get back out into the hallway, and make your way all the way down to some more double doors at the end. Enter them and then take a right, proceeding down this hallway until you reach an opening on the left, which leads to more stairs. Take them up to some more doors, which you should open. In this next area, peek around the corner to the right and take out the guard standing here. Continue to look this way as another terrorist will rush out of the room towards you. Pick him off and then enter the two doors in front of you as you entered the area. You should see the terrorist on the stage here, but something isn't right... Crouch into the room slowly while look into backward at the window above in that direction. As soon as you see a terrorist's head, shoot it before that sniper can take you down. Now get some cover in the room where you can see the other windows above as well as the far door opposite the one you entered, and then tell your team to secure the hostage. Take out all terrorists that show from the windows and the door as they come before they can do much damage to you. o--------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure 2nd hostage. | o--------------------------------------------o o-----------------------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Neutralize terrorist destroying records. | o-----------------------------------------------------------o Now save here if you haven't already and then head out of the stage area at the far door opposite the one you came in. Proceed through the doorway to the left to get back to a higher level of the cafeteria area, and then make your way around to the left and down the hallway to some doors. Open them and climb the stairs in the following area to get up to the fourth floor and proceed through the doors up here. You will now be up at the windows above the stage area where terrorists once were. Anyhow, follow the hall as it goes around to the right, taking out the terrorist here along the way. Follow it all the way around until you come to some double doors at the end and bulletproof glass to the left. Have your team Open, Flash & Clear the two doors on Zulu while you head into the room on the left and get read by the other entrance to the room. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code and once the flash goes off, open the door and help take out the enemies in the room. I'd sped a day or two here. Clark mentions that you should check out a house in the middle of town where the informant was last known to be. So head straight and left around a couple of corners. Make your way through an archway and then peek down the slope ahead of you. Put a bullet in the terrorist's head down below and then immediately look towards the open doorway ahead at the bottom. Another terrorist will come running from the right and try to get into the doorway to a room there, but shoot him down before he makes it. Now proceed down the slope and peek around the corner to the left at the bottom. A terrorist will leap behind the statue or well thing here for cover. Pick him off and then look further to the left and upwards at a window where another tango is. Take him out and then turn around and make your way along the path between a building to your left and the outer wall to your right. Head down a little decline and once you come to a gate on your right. Look over upwards and to the left for a terrorist in a window. He may spot you first and come running to one of the nearer windows, knocking the panes open and shooting you, so take him out wherever he is. Now you should see some barrels in that direction to. There are a couple more terrorist hiding there, so wait for them to show and then pick them off before proceeding on. Move on in that direction and continue along the path until you come to a sheet hanging in your way. A terrorist will try to shoot you from behind the sheet so spot him and take him out. Also, watch the roof upwards to the left as an enemy will sometimes try to shoot you from there. Now head just past the hanging sheet and make a right into an alley. Peek around the right corner here, past a hanging white sheet and take down the terrorist crouching behind the barrels here before he gets you. This can be kind of hard as close range so you may also want to lob a grenade around there to scare him out or kill him. Exit the alley and continue on the path to the right. You will come to an orange part of a roof that's fallen and is leaning on the side of some stairs. Just under that roof is a hole to the basement - too small for someone to fit through, but good for shooting through. There is an enemy that camps there, so throw or use your M203 to launch a grenade there to take him out once you can see a little of the hole. Now pass by it to the stairs, and head up these, opening the door at the top. Peek into the room with Night Vision on to make sure there are no enemies and then head straight and down the stairs to the right. This is the house that the informant was last known to be at. He is not here however, and Clark tells you that there is much activity near another location near to here. o-----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Locate informer. | o-----------------------------------------o o------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure courtyard. | o------------------------------------o From the bottom of the stairs, head over to the left and open the door here to get outside again. There is a dead end to the left to follow the path to the right and you will swing around left to a little alley. Take out a couple tangos that you can see in front of you and then make your way up to the barrel for cover. Tell Price to cover you here with the Black button and then creep up ahead, while crouching until a couple more enemies appear down the ally. There will be one behind a broken wall to the right and another down by the parked car. A third tango will appear at the window far ahead, slightly covered by a palm tree branch. After all three of them are eliminated, continue to have Price covering (he'll just make things harder if he's following you here), and then strafe left while looking between the gaps in the fence to the right. When you see movement, shoot to take down the terrorist in here, and then creep out a little further while crouching and looking to the right. There is an incredible amount of enemies in this courtyard area. Watch the roof of that large building for a few enemies and then take out a few more by the parked vehicles here. Once you think it is clear proceed have Price check out the area while you cover to take out any enemies that show, and then regroup with him when the coast is fully clear. Now proceed over to the right, in the direction of a smoking car and follow the path here to a dark door on your left. Open it and enter the building. o------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure courtyard. | o------------------------------------------o o---------------------------------------o | New Objective: Rescue the informer. | o---------------------------------------o Save your game here, as your health may be lacking, and then proceed to the right from the door through a couple doorways with sheets in front of them and then a third doorway to the end of the hall. Open the door to the left here and then shoot down the two terrorists you see ahead of you behind some obstructions. Now enter the room and open the door to the right to access a hallway outside the room that takes you to the other end of the previous room, which was blocked by the obstructions. Make your way down the dark hallway and back into the room through the door on the left. Head through the doorway over to the right and tell Price to Breach & Clear the only door in this room on Zulu. Now head back into the previous room and take the side hallway back to the other side of it. Straight ahead as you reenter the other side of the room, you should see another door. Head up to it and give Eddie the Zulu Go-Code. Once he's breached the door and started firing, open up yours and help take down any enemies you see. Watch the roof especially as terrorists like to shoot from up there. Price may die here as he gets the brunt of the attack, but it's all right. Once the shooting stops creep into and around the area, looking above at the rooftops for any more terrorists. After they are all eliminated, head over to the door in the middle of the same wall of the door that Price entered from (just to the right of Price's entrance). Open it and then head around the room in the middle here to the left and continue on to some stairs. As you approach the doorway, a tango will come running at you from the foot of the stairs. Eliminated him quickly and then proceed over to the stairs, taking them up to the next level. At the top, open the door to the right and then switch on the Night Vision as this is a dark room. Crouch over to the left, covering behind the wall with the urns and then peek around the corner to the left. Take out the three terrorists standing here, and then maintain your position as two more tangos will come running into the room from two separate doorways. Check the room ahead and kill the terrorist inside and then exit the room, heading through the opening to the left. Make a U-turn now and head back the other way, following the windowed hallway as it goes left and up some steps to a door. Open it and then head to the left in this semi-outdoors area. Have Price Breach & Clear the door here on Zulu, and then head back right and left around a couple corners to the other end of the room. Walk up to the door here and give Price the Zulu Go-Code as you open your door. The breaching charge should kill the terrorist near the other door so just take out the terrorists near you to clear the room. Mess around with the chain if you wish and then proceed ahead through an archway up some stairs and then back down and through another archway on the other side. It is dark in here, switch on your Night Vision and then make your way down the sewer to the left. You can probably see a terrorist down in the distance so shoot him down and then take out another that you see running from the right. There's an exploding barrel down there as well so if you spot it you can shoot it to make it explode and set the tango on fire. Now make your way all the way down past the obstructions to where the terrorists were and you will come to another archway to the right. Head up the steps here and then down the other side to another part of the sewer. Head right down the sewer and when you come to some barrels, take cover, as three terrorists will run out into the sewer. There will be two rather far off, but still very much a threat and one that will run across from the right that is closer to you. Once they've been eliminated continue on down the sewer a little bit and you will come to stairs on either side, where the nearest terrorist ran across. Check to the left up that area for another terrorist and then head up the stairs to that area. Make your way through the little arched tunnel to the right and you will see some stacked crates ahead. Throw a frag just to the right of them to take out a terrorist camping behind them and then continue on past the crates into another arched tunnel. You should notice a red barrel directly ahead, so shoot it to make it explode and burn up a terrorist and then proceed to that room. Check down the stairs to the right for a final terrorist in this sewer area, and after you take him out, proceed up the stairs to the left up to a door. Open it and enter the room to complete the first objective. o-----------------------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Use the sewers to infiltrate the prison. | o-----------------------------------------------------------------o o------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure the shower area. | o------------------------------------------o Now make your way around to some more stairs in the room and take them up to another door. Open it and enter the shower room, you know, the one from The Rock where all of the US soldiers got killed by the terrorists above. Well this is the same kind of thing here. Grab some cover over to the left side of the room and then press Black so that your team covers as well. This area is pretty cool as well, because the environment is destructible. The showers and parts of walls can be blown apart by grenades, it's a pretty cool sight to see. But you've got bigger things to worry about. As soon as you've got contact, watch the balconies immediately to the left and right of you. Now keep an eye for enemies running along up there and also watch the two doors at the far wall in front of you. A few enemies will attack from there as well. If you picked a good spot to the left side of the area from where you entered, everything will be in front and to the side of you, nothing behind. Keep covered and watch all areas above for enemy gunfire. Stay crouched until it is clear so the enemy can't see you as well, and once it's clear, head for the right of the two doorways at the far wall ahead. Peek over to the right into the room there and take out any remaining enemies and then head back over to the other side of the area to an identical room. Check for any more enemies in here and then proceed to the door at the back of the room. Open it and then continue on through another door ahead to some stairs. Walk up them to the upper level of the shower area, where many enemies attacked you previously and make your way around to the left down to a corner and an archway in front of you. Continue on ahead into this archway and then proceed right to the center of this back area. Check behind the transparent flaps to the left, using thermal vision if you have to and take out two terrorists hiding back here. Once they're gone, continue out of this area through the archway at the other side and continue down to the corner. o------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure the shower area. | o------------------------------------------------o o-------------------------------------o | New Objective: Rescue tour guide. | o-------------------------------------o Make a left from there and you will come to some more stairs leading down to the left at the end of the path. Make you way down these and through the doorway at the bottom, proceeding to peek around the corner to the right and take out a terrorist standing to the left down the hall. Now look further down and you should spot another terrorist patrolling, so shoot him down as well before heading down the hall. Enter the first door on your right and take out the terrorist here as he flips over the table for cover. Now exit and continue down the hall and open the first closed door on your left (the third doorway on your left) and eliminate the tango in this room. Now proceed to the door to the right in this room and open it as well, shooting down the terrorist on the right here while avoiding the hostage just in front of you. Approach the hostage once the tango is downed and he will bitch that he wasn't even supposed to work today. Secure him and then exit the room back out into the hallway. o-------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Rescue tour guide. | o-------------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------o | New Objective: Rescue Juan Crespo. | o--------------------------------------o Now Clark will tell your team to stay behind while you go on solo and find and rescue Crespo. This won't last for long, however, so just save your game and head on. Continue on down the hallway towards the bright window and then head left and right from there to some more stairs leading downward. Follow them down and open the door at the bottom to reach a room with some double doors to the right. Head through these into a large area with numerous jail cells spanning three floors. Crouch and then creep ahead and look around the corner, picking off a tango right in front of you and one further down by an exploding barrel, which you could also shoot to kill him. Clark will advise you that multiple terrorists are converging on your position, so he tells your team to regroup with you instead of staying behind. Now maintain your position and look further ahead for a few terrorists coming into the area. Pick them off and also the one that rushes out of the doorway near you on the left. As soon as they are eliminated, look up above for a couple terrorists on the third floor up ahead. They may be hard to spot so you may have to wait for them to fire at you so you can see where they are. There is also an exploding barrel up there so shoot it if you wish to kill one of them. Also you may want to slowly creep into the room while look backwards and up to the second floor as sometimes a terrorist will be waiting there. When it's clear, head into the room a little ways and then make your way around some obstructions to the left to a doorway where a tango rushed out of previously. Head up the stairs here to the second level, and once up there, head left along the balcony and as soon as you are about halfway down it, you will see a couple tangos run by up ahead above on the third floor. Take cover if you need to and eliminate them before proceeding on down the ledge to an open doorway at the end. Lob a frag down the stairs here to kill the terrorist standing midway to the bottom floor and then proceed down them back to the other side of the large prison room. Proceed through the double doors ahead at the bottom and continue on in this room around to the right and left around a couple corners to a couple doorways. At the double doors in front of you, tell your team to Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu, while you open the single door to the left. Head up the stairs here and head along the path, crouching past the window so the terrorists in the room don't see you. Open the door and then continue on, crouching past another window, down some stairs to another door. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code and once the flash bang grenade goes off, enter the room and pick off any enemies you see from the rear flank. Make sure to watch the windows ahead up top for terrorists up there as well. Make your way ahead and around it until you come to a corner of the building to the right where a door is. Tell your team to hold by the door while you head around the corner to the right where a window should be. Peek in the window a little and take out a couple terrorists in the hallway that you can see. One will run across and break for the door, but your team is there to take him out. Now look into the room to the right of the hallway and eliminate one other terrorist in here by the far door. Once it is clear, regroup with your team and head back around the corner and into the building through the doorway. In this area, there are many doors to choose from, one in this first room to your right and three more in the hallway ahead. Head into the doorway straight ahead as you enter the room and in this next room filled with shelves, make your way towards the open doorway at the far wall. Do not enter the room, however, but look to the left and right for a couple terrorists in the room. There is one near to the left behind a shelf and one farther over near the back right corner. When they are taken out, enter the room and then head for the door in the middle of the wall to the right. Open it and then peek out to the left. You should be able to see part of a tango, so shoot him down and another will run by the entrance to get a shot at you. Don't let that happen as you take him down as well. Now enter that room, which is a small weapons cache with AK-47s galore. This is pretty good evidence that Vargas isn't so upright. o-----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure evidence. | o-----------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure incriminating documents. | o--------------------------------------------------o Well that wasn't too hard. Now head out the door to the left as you entered the room to get back outside to a fenced-in backyard area and slowly make your way up the stairs to the right while watching the rooftops behind and to the side of you. A sniper appears on each of the rooftops, but luckily their aim sucks, so just eliminate them as you see them. Once both are downed, continue on up the stairs and open the door at the top, but do not enter the room. Shoot down the terrorist that appears from the left and then take out a couple more terrorists hiding behind tables further down in the room. Now strafe to the right of the doorway while looking over to the left and shoot down one more tango off to the side before entering the room. Head to the doorway and the back of the room and enter it, proceeding into the next room from this small linking area. Shoot down the oblivious terrorist standing near the screwed up television and then launch or throw a grenade over the flipped-over table to the left, where a terrorist shoots from behind. As soon as he's dead, proceed to the door over in that direction and open it. Peek inside this next room and eliminate two terrorists, one near each door at the far wall in the room. When it's clear, proceed to the left of the two doors ahead and slowly enter the room while looking down and to the right. Shoot the red barrel you see down here to kill the terrorist in the vicinity or just shoot him down and then crouch and creep out along the ledge here while looking to the left through the window. A guy with a shotgun standing high atop a large shelf will shoot an exploding barrel near the door further down from where you are. Spot him and shoot him down or shoot the red barrel beside him and then standing up while looking to the left and downward from the first terrorist. There will be another tango on a lower shelf nearer to you, so take him down and then look just up and to the right of him for another terrorist. Now, still at the window, look down at the floor of the warehouse area for a couple more terrorists. If you don't see them, you may have to go out onto the ledge from the door that was blasted open. Shoot a couple more terrorists you see down and you should here another explosion coming from behind and to the right of you. The door here has been blasted open by a grenade, but do not approach it yet. Wait for a couple more grenades to go off before approaching the doorway. Look into it for a terrorist down the hall and take him out. Now wait a few seconds more for another terrorist to show himself and eliminate him as well. Now enter the hallway and quickly proceed to the room ahead as there is a sniper outside the windows to the left and he can do some damage to you if you linger in the hallway. Take out a couple more terrorists over to the left in this room. Use your Thermal Vision as it can be hard to see them through the hanging sheets. Now proceed over to the left side of the building, where the last two terrorists were and then head right from there to an open doorway. Enter it head up a few steps so that you can see the bottom of the stairs. Take out the terrorist camping at the corner at the bottom of the stairs and then make your way down to a door. Put a few shells through the door to take out the tango standing just beyond it and then open and enter the room, eliminating one more enemy her to the right. When he's gone, make your way through the doorway ahead and then open the door to the right in this little linking area. Enter this room where the incriminating documents are. o--------------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure incriminating documents. | o--------------------------------------------------------o o---------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure the facility. | o---------------------------------------o Now notice the window over on the wall to the left as you enter the room. Throw a smoke grenade near it and wait for it to smoke up the window. Once it has, switch on the Thermal Vision and look out the window and a little upwards for the sniper on top of a truck. Shoot him down and then open the door to the left. Peek out to the left while looking upwards at the windows and shoot down another sniper up here. Now look around this area for another terrorist on the ground and then proceed with your team out of the building. Maintain your position in this area and take out any enemies that you see. Take out the first over to the right next to a red barrel and more will appear from behind crates. You may want to throw another smoke grenade in front of you to make a wall so that enemies can't see you but you still can with Thermal Vision. Once it seems like everyone in front of you is dead, peek around the corner to the right while looking upwards to a ledge and shoot down a sniper here before he can take you down. Check for one more terrorists hiding behind the far garbage container here and then head back the other way to an area in between the large trucks, just to the left of some steps leading up to a loading area. Head under the square opening here to a half-opened warehouse door and take down the two tangos you see over at the near right corner of the warehouse as you approach. Now run up to the warehouse and the door slide closed. Stay in this enclosed area while your team watches the entrance and your team will report that there are terrorists all around. Crouch down to stay more concealed and the warehouse door will slide open again. Slowly creep and look into the area, eliminating a few terrorists that you see on ground level. Now peek in a little more while checking the large shelves to the left and right. Also, take out the terrorist attacking from the window far ahead above you. As Clark continues on, | | Ding opens a warehouse door to let the rest of the | | Rainbow team in. This mission frustrated me because if you are seen by an enemy or fire or throw a grenade at one, the mission is over. He also tells you that he's marked terrorist positions on your mini-map, which are represented by blinking red dots. Now head open the door here and then make a U-turn around to the left and head back down this way to some double doors. Open them and proceed ahead to some glass doors, which you should also open and proceed through. Continue on ahead and you will come to a split. Head left from there and you should here a crowd roaring, which is coming from a television in the room to the left. Crouch and slowly creep into the room and you should notice a guard sitting on a couch watching soccer. Now SLOWLY, and I emphasize slowly so that you make as little noise as possible, creep over to the kitchen over to the left. Head up some steps and then continue up some more steps just to the left to get up to the second level. Now look on your map to check that there are no terrorists in the hallway to the right and then proceed into the doorway ahead, still ever so slowly as the tango down below will hear you if you make noise up here. This room is where the telephone is, so head up to it on the little table with the lamp and hold A to bug it. o---------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Bug telephone. | o---------------------------------------o o---------------------------------o | New Objective: Hack computer. | o---------------------------------o Now open the door at the other end of the room. Peek out into the hallway to the right from the room and wait until you can see a guard. He will patrol this area for a while, so wait until he leaves. You will know that it is okay to go when he is far down the hall and walking away from you. When this happens, though it may take a while, Follow him all the way down this long hall to the end. Open up your map and wait until his red dot is around the other corner before you turn this one. Do so when it is clear and then follow the path to the left to some more glass doors. Look inside and Clark will tell you that Vargas' accountant is here without Intel knowing it and he is occupying the main computer terminal. He advises to find and bug the alternate terminal in the master bedroom, so head just past the glass doors and to an opening on your left. Ascend the stairs here to get to the second level and then turn just to the left so you are facing a plant. Open your mini-map and look at the room just above here with a terrorist inside. That is the master bathroom, and the large room just above that is the master bedroom. Wait for the terrorist inside the bedroom to leave and then head right from the stairs and then left at the split to reach the door to the bedroom on your left. Look on your map again and make sure that the patrolling terrorist is not in sight of the door and then open and enter the room. Make your way around the screen to the right where a laptop is. Head up to it and hold A until it is sufficiently bugged. o---------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Hack computer. | o---------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Escort accountant to extraction zone. | o--------------------------------------------------------o Just then, Clark will inform you that Vargas was on the phone telling his thugs to take out the accountant. You need to escort him out of danger, and weapons are free now, so fire at will at enemies. The terrorist patrolling the area should have run into the room very soon after you bugged the computer, so shoot him down and then open the bathroom and take out the tango in here after eliminating any more threats in the hall from the doorway. Now save your progress on this level and then exit the bedroom. Proceed right down the hall a and then down the first path on the right, proceeding back down the stairs once you come to them. Peek out into the hallway to the right from the bottom of the stairs and eliminate a terrorist here. You may hear shooting now to the left, which is the terrorist in the computer room trying to take out the accountant. So hurry up to the glass doors ahead and shoot down the tango here. Now leave the accountant for now and head over to the left from the computer room to a closed door. Put a few rounds through the door to kill the terrorist just behind and then turn back around. Stay put here and watch the hallway ahead and the stairs to the right for terrorists that show. Around three come down from the stairs, so pick them off as you see them and then proceed down to the end of the hallway. Look over to the right and left to make sure it is clear and then head back to the computer room and get the accountant to follow you. Now head back out into the hallway and left to a split. Look to the left for a couple terrorists coming up the stairs and take them out before they can get you with their shotguns. Now head left down the stairs they were coming from and peek around the corner to the right at the bottom. Shoot down the terrorist watching the soccer game and then look to the right at the long narrow window by the kitchen where you should spot another terrorist's head. Shoot it down and then wait for one more tango to come running from that hallway into the room. Take him out as well and then proceed ahead, down the steps to where you first entered the room. Head right down the hallway from there and then down the opening to the left. Make your way back through the glass doors and the double doors beyond them. Continue on straight ahead from there and make a u-turn to the right at the end, heading through the doorway here to get back to the stairwell where you started the mission. Now ascend the few flights of stairs all the way to the opened doorway at the top, and look out to the rooftop from the doorway to take out one guard here. Peek out into this hallway to the right and eliminate the terrorist patrolling here and one that appears further down. Now make your way down a few steps to a door on your right. Tell your team to Open, Flash & Clear the door on Zulu, and then head back into the cow pen room. Continue straight ahead out the door and you should come to a door on the left. Give your team the Zulu Go- Code and then open and enter the room once the flash bang goes off. Take out a few enemies you see amongst the large slabs of raw meat. There is one nearby on a little bridge and a couple more in the warehouse at the back of the area. Pick off them off and strafe over to the left while looking just to the left of the room in front of you for the last tango in the room. When he is down, regroup with your team and head through the doorway at the back of the room. o----------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------o Along the way, Clark will inform you that the terrorists here have heard you enter and have taken a hostage. Once you reach the doorway at the end of the room, head left to a closed door and open it to get back into the first hallway. Head right from there and you will come to some double doors on your right. Have your team Open, Flash & Clear the door and enter after the flash goes off. As soon as you enter the room, look to your right and left for enemies hiding behind boxes and bins along the wall. Take them out and then look for a couple more enemies that come from the stairs on either side of the raised ledge in front of you. Eliminate these tangos and then head up either steps and enter the doorway covered by plastic flaps up here, regrouping with your team as you do. Head left from there down some more steps to a doorway at the end and have your team Open, Flash & Clear this door on Zulu. Now head back the way you came, up the stairs and back out the plastic flapped doorway. Make your way right from here, down the stairs to another door back in this room. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code and once the flash goes off, enter the room as well and help take out the enemies to the left. Look for one amongst the tables in the middle of the room and one either over by the stairs to the left of further back in the room by some shelves. Another also runs out into the room from the doors to the right, so be prepared for him also, and then be sure to take out the final tango in the distance behind the glass in the room at the back of the area. Once it is clear, make your way over to the doors on the right and enter the small room here to take out a terrorist hiding here and then regroup with the team as you make your way back into the previous area and up the stairs ahead. When you come to another doorway covered by plastic flaps to the left, pass it up for now and enter the doorway ahead to reach the room where you shot a terrorist through the glass. Head over to the hostage to the right here and secure him. o----------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure hostage. | o----------------------------------------o o--------------------------------------o | New Objective: Secure 2nd hostage. | o--------------------------------------o Now exit back out of the room and this time enter the doorway on the right with the plastic flaps over it. Head down some steps and through the opened doorway down here, making a right down the hallway. Continue on right to some blue barrels and then left to a partially opened warehouse door, and crouch down in front of it, spying ahead of you up to a ledge off in a further room. Take out a tango you see up here, and then proceed under the warehouse door into the warehouse, while looking to the left for a terrorist. If you're quick enough you can shoot him before he leaps away when he sees you, but if he does get away, he will run all the way into the next room. So follow him, peeking left into the next room and take him down. Do not linger at the entrance, however, as another tango will toss a grenade down there from the ledge up above. Grab some cover and shoot him down once you see him. Now there will be two doors on your left as you enter the room, one pair of double doors and another single door to the left of it. Enter the single doorway and head down the little hall here until you come to an opening on your right. Turn around here and you will come to some double doors. Tell your team to Open, Flash & Clear this door on Zulu and then head back down the hallway and out the door you came. Continue forward to the other double doors on your left. Enter these and you will come to some more doors to the left. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code and enter the room once the flash goes off. Look for an enemy to the left and straight in front of you and take them out as you see them. As soon as the room is clear, regroup with your team and head over to the left from where you entered to an opening. Head right in here, up some stairs, and then right again at the top, up a few more steps to the ledge above the room you were in before (where the terrorist tried to grenade you). Follow it all the way to the end and then look down and to the right where a couple enemies will come from the entrance to the room. Pick them off from your perch above and then look back to the right down the ledge for a couple more terrorists who try to ambush you from behind. When they are downed, turn towards the door at the end of the ledge here and either unlock it yourself (hold A while near it) or have your team do it. Once it's unlocked, open it and enter the hallway beyond it, following it to the left. You will come to a couple doorways on the right. Head down to the further one and open it. Look through the glass and a little to the right and you should see the second hostage out there. Strafe over to the left and look a little to the right of the hostage and quickly take out the terrorist there before he eliminates the hostage, which would end the mission. Another tango will run across outside of the room you are in after you take out the first terrorist, so shoot him down as well. Now open the door ahead of you and you may hear grenades being thrown. Don't worry; these are just smoke grenades from the terrorists to give them cover, even though they can't see through them. The warehouse door below you will also open, so you may hear that as well. Now enter the area and head down the platform to the right until you reach the little middle area where the hostage is. Look down to the right, using Thermal Vision to see through the smoke and pick off to tangos down here. Now look back to the right where the opened warehouse door is and shoot down a couple terrorists that show from there. When it is clear, secure the second hostage. o--------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Secure 2nd hostage. | o--------------------------------------------o o-------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Locate chemical barrels. | o-------------------------------------------o Once that is done, regroup with your team and start heading down the stairs beyond the hostage, looking to the right and left as you do to take down any hiding terrorists you may have missed. When it's clear, head down the platform to the left and then continue on left at the end down some stairs to the ground level. Approach the warehouse door to the left and turn around backwards to peek inside. Eliminate the terrorist standing here and then proceed into the opened doorway to the left. This next room ahead is kind of hard with the fog and large pieces of meat obscuring your vision. It may be best to let your team handle it, especially if you are running low on health. I suggest just having your team Open, Flash & Clear the room. Once the flash goes off, crouch in the doorway and watch the ledges above for any terrorists to provide cover. When it's clear, check the room yourself for any more terrorists and then head to the back left corner from where you entered to a door. Open it and head right through another freezer room. You will see some steps ahead, but ignore them for now and head down the path to the right. You will come to some double doors, which you should have your team Open, Flash & Clear on Zulu. Now head back down the hallway and this time ascend the few steps to the right, continuing down the hallway to some more double doors to your right. Give your team the Zulu Go-Code, and once the flash goes off, enter the room yourself, taking out two enemies you can see ahead of you, one below and the other on a raised ledge. Now look over to the right, just above where your team entered the room for a couple more terrorists perched here. Take him out and do the same to the terrorist over to the far left. Now get down from the elevated ledge you are on via the stairs to the right and then approach the raised area to the left. You will see the warehouse doors ahead of you open. Grab some cover and eliminate the terrorists as you see them come out of the warehouse. Quickly check behind you as well for a terrorist that appears from the ledge above where your team entered. As soon as it's clear, head up the steps to the right and enter the warehouse ahead, where the enemies came from. Open then and then head to the left and open the doors here. Now do not enter this showcase room just yet. Have Loiselle hold his position and then toss a smoke grenade just ahead of the entrance. Once it's smoked up the area a little bit, switch on the Thermal Vision and crouch into the entrance while looking just over to the left. Eliminate the terrorist by the car and then look a little further left to take out the tango in the doorway to a little room there. One more terrorist will walk across over here so take him down when you see him as well. Now look a little further to the left and upwards at the area above. You should see about three tangos running to the left, making for the stairs. Take them down up there, shooting their upper bodies above the bulletproof glass railing, or just pick them off once they appear down the stairs around to the left. When they are gone, a couple more tangos will show up on the balcony, and one has an RPG, which can take you out in one hit if he can see you. Hopefully he can't because of your smoke, so just shoot these two down and then make your way up the stairs to the far left. As you make the U-turn on the stairs, watch over to the right on a level just above you for a crouching terrorist. He has an RPG as well, so be sure to take him down as soon as you see him. If you cannot locate him, just rush to the top of the stairs (if you are quick he will usually miss) and then use your Thermal Vision while looking in that direction. Shoot him down (you can shoot through the glass up there) and then proceed to the opened doorway over to the left from the stairs. This room should be vacant as the terrorists that were previously in it rushed out of it to the balcony, so just proceed to the doorway at the far wall. Make a left here and then follow this bright little hallway down, peeking to the left around the next corner. Shoot down the terrorist at the bottom of the stairs here and then proceed down them. At the bottom, look out to the left first and take out the terrorist in this direction and then look back to the right for a couple more terrorists. If you brought them, you might want to toss a flashbang in the middle of the hallway before entering to give yourself some time to take out the enemies on either side of you, but it's not needed. When it's clear, proceed down the hall to the right and follow it to a couple open doorways. At the second, crouch and peek over to the left to eliminate the terrorist over there. Now notice the large opening lined with blue just to the right of the doorway you are in. Lob a white phosphorus grenade in there to either burn up or scare out the tango in there. Whichever way, kill him and then enter the room, proceeding over to the left to some double doors, one of which is opened. Enter it and then peek out into the doorway ahead. You should see a terrorist at the far left corner of the next room. Shoot him down and a couple more terrorists should show themselves in that same line of sight. One has an RPG, but he shouldn't get a real clear shot at you before you take him down. Now peek over to the right in the room and quickly shoot down the tango over here before he runs off, and then enter the workshop area. Head over to the left around the wall here and look over to the left for a couple more tangos in the area. One you will notice running past and another will be just past him, shooting from the large window at the little room back there. Once they are gone, continue on the way you were heading to an open doorway at the back of the room and follow the linking hallway left to another workshop room just about identical to the one you were previously in. Look over to the left and you will notice a man in light blue running away. This is Vargas, so you've completed the first objective by locating him. o---------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Locate Vargas. | o---------------------------------------o o---------------------------------o | New Objective: Locate Vargas. | o---------------------------------o Clark will inform you that Vargas is on the move, and not to left him get out of the garage. Well, I recommend saving here because you're going to have to more quickly in the next areas. Shoot down the terrorist that was just to the left of where Vargas was and then move into the room over to the left, looking past the wall. There will be another terrorist straight ahead, so eliminate him, and then look over to the right where an overturned table is between two pillars. Lob a white phosphorus grenade near there to incinerate the two terrorists hiding there or just pick them off as they pop up, and then look over further to the right. As in the previous room, shoot down the tango behind the glass in the room over there and then peek over to the right for one final terrorist in here at the near corner by the wall. When it's clear quickly head to the back of the area and through the doorway over to the right. In this back room, there will be another terrorist, whether he shows up by the doorway or is hiding among the shelves to the right. Shoot him down as you see him and then proceed on to the right past the shelves. Continue on the path up some stairs and you will come to an opening in front of you and to the right. Quickly shoot down to terrorist in the little cove to the right and then proceed into the room ahead, taking out the two tangos to the right in here as quickly as you can. Now go through the doorway at the back of the room and head left here to a little fork. Ignore the enemy in the room on the right and turn to the left and head through a little doorway here to reach a hall leading to a door outside. Turn to the right and when you see the car out here behind the gate, immediately shoot down the driver and you will have completed the mission. If you are too slow, Vargas will get away, and this can be pretty tough to do on the higher difficulties as you get less time. It may take you a couple times, but eventually you should get it. o---------------------------------------o | MISSION SUCCESSFUL | | Objective Completed: Secure Vargas. | o---------------------------------------o ___________________ __________________/ DEBRIEFING TEXT \__________________ /---------------------------------------------------------\ | Get ready, Domingo. At the start, take your party left and then right around some corners until you come to what looks like a little market area. Throw a smoke grenade between the two corners of the buildings there so you smoke up the entrance to the place and then head over and around to the left where a terrorist is hiding. When you see him, he will either stand there and shoot, or run back and hide behind a barrel. Whichever way he chooses, take him down and then look into the market area through your smoke with the Thermal Vision. Look to the right first and shoot down the two heat signatures you see in this direction, one nearby and another further down by a barrel. Now look to the left and take out the enemy you see on this path. When it seems clear, slowly proceed down the right path, and when you come to the corner of the little market structure on your left. Peek over that way and eliminate one more terrorist down below. Your team will inform you that you've got company on the rooftops now. From the direction you were looking, quickly look up at an open window here and take down the terrorist shooting from inside. Now look further up and to the right up to a high rooftop and eliminate the enemy up there. Turn completely around afterwards and look a little lower to the rooftop here. There will be a couple terrorist shooting from up there, so help your team take them out. It may be hard to see them, but go with where you see the flash of their guns. As soon as it looks clear, proceed on around the corner of the market structure to the left and to a door in a little alcove here. Have your team pick the lock and open the door or just do it yourself and you should here more gunfire coming from behind you. Look up to that rooftop back there one more time and you should spot one more tango's head. Take him out and then proceed through the doorway into a stairwell. Start to head up the stairs to the left, but midway up, head back down, as you should here a terrorist throwing a grenade. After it goes off, proceed all the way up the flight of stairs while peeking to the right around the corner at the top. You should notice a terrorist peeking from the opposite corner, so shoot him down when you see his head pop out. Make your way over to where he was and continue on left down the hallway. As you pass by the windows on your right, your teammate will make a comment that the float out there contains the bomb. Now look out one of the open windows over to an open window in the building across. You should spot a terrorist there, so shoot him down before proceeding on. At the end of the hallway, make a left and if you see a couple terrorists here, shoot them down. If there aren't any, open the door on your left or have your team Breach & Clear it, and then kill the remaining enemies in here. When they are gone, look through this room to a doorway in an adjacent room. Watch for a terrorist that tries to sneak up behind you from there, and shoot him down when he appears. Afterwards, continue on down the hallway, making a right to a couple doors - one on either side of the hallway. Check out the one to the left first, which leads to the rooftop where you took out a few terrorists at the beginning of the level, and then proceed through the door to the right to enter another stairwell. If you look down and to the left as you enter the area, you should see a terrorist run off down the stairs. Wait a moment for the grenade he throws to go off, and then continue on down the semi-spiral staircase. Near the bottom steps, peek around to the right to eliminate the terrorist by the door. Once he's gone, open the door to get outside to where the float is. The area seems empty, but before you approach the bomb over to the right, take your team to the left, past the parked vehicle to an alley over here. Have your team cover you here, by the alley and then head back over to the right to the back of the float with the grim reaper on it. As you approach, notice the two lit windows above at a little middle, connecting area between buildings. Now, as soon as you come to the bomb, look to the left where two terrorists come out of the back of a parked vehicle over here. Shoot them down as you see them and then look up top at the two windows I told you to notice before. Eliminate the two terrorists up there quickly, and hopefully you team took down the terrorists that came from the alley and the parked vehicle back there. Check back there anyways and when it's clear, regroup with your team and have them defuse the bomb. o-------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Defuse bomb. | o-------------------------------------o o------------------------------------------o | New Objective: Disarm failsafe device. | o------------------------------------------o Hopefully you've got some health to spare, as the next part is a challenge, especially with a time limit and without your team. Clark will inform you that the bomb is still active and will detonate by a failsafe device. You should notice that a time limit of 5 minutes has appeared on your screen. Clark also tells you to leave your team behind to cover the bomb. Now save your game, and while facing the bomb, turn left to a couple double doors that have been opened. Approach them, and as you enter, peek to the right and eliminate the tango standing there by the near wall. Turn completely around now and open the door here, looking to the right as you enter the room. Take down the terrorist that shows up in front of you here, and then proceed to the door in this direction and open it. Look far down, through the archway ahead, and spot a terrorist behind a pool table, and shoot him down once you see him. Afterwards, enter the room and approach the archway. While still staying in the room you are in, look over to the right through the archway and you should spot a couple terrorists by the left side of the large archway in that direction. Take them out first and then look a little farther to the right, by the right side of that large archway and you should see another tango. Eliminate him and then look just beyond him for one more terrorist, using your Thermal Vision if you cannot see through the sparse smoke. Now you may see some terrorists run over from the right, where you cannot see, so eliminate them as the show up, but if not, enter the room and grab some cover behind the flipped-over pool table near you. Strafe over to the left while looking back to the right for a few more enemies over here, a couple of them coming from the room over to the right. When it is clear, proceed to that end of the room, through the large archway to the back left corner of the room to where a door is. Open it and proceed up the stairs here. When you reach the top set of steps, proceed cautiously while looking ahead for two terrorists camping behind an overturned soda machine. You may want to lob a smoke grenade ahead to give you cover and take them out using Thermal Vision, but either way just take them down before they can hurt you. Now notice the blocked area just to the right, which leads to more stairs. Lob an explosive grenade over the barricade there to take out the tango just waiting to do you in as you pass by. Now continue on ahead through the doorway into the second story. Proceed down the hallway to the right, and when you reach the middle square area, crouch for cover and continue on ahead. At the corner, turn to the left and take out the oblivious terrorist here, and then look over to the left, at an opened doorway for another terrorist that appears. Once they're gone, continue on and when you reach another hallway here, peek over to the right for one more terrorist, which you should shoot down once you see. Now proceed down the hallway he was in, making a left at the end into another stairwell. Turn left in here and continue up some more flights of stairs, looking down the long hallway at the top for a terrorist standing behind an obstruction. Enter the hallway now, making a left and following it down to another square area. Peek to the left in the area and take down a couple tangos here, and then look over just to the right for a couple more guarding the area. Now enter the square area down the path to the right, and then quickly run back to the hallway to you came from as soon as you see a couple terrorists appear on the glass roof and two more coming from the right and left on the floor you are on. Throw a smoke grenade at the entrance to the square area for cover and then, with Thermal Vision on, look to the left and right to take down the two terrorists that showed here, when the area is sufficiently smoked (provided you have time). As soon as it's clear proceed into the square area on the path to the right, and enter the open doorway you come to on the right. Are you excited, because I sure am! You will start in an empty office room, and you should hear Clark tells you to make sure no one sees you before the explosives are planted, and just like in the Penthouse mission, if you are spotted, you fail the mission. Now crouch and open the door ahead of you while looking over to the left at a door in the next room. Wait for an enemy in the room to the right to walk up to, open, and enter the door there on his patrol. Keep in mind that he may already be in the room where you want him to go, but just to be safe, wait until you see him walk through the door into that other area. You may want to flip on the Thermal Vision, so you can see slightly through the closed doorway and watch for the guard about to enter. Step back in the room, so that he cannot see you, and then wait for him to complete his round in this room and head back into the other area. Wait about 5 seconds for him to get away from the doorway area (he can hear you if you're loud), and then enter the room, making your way over to the right. Head left at the corner and follow this hall all the way down to a door. Open it up and enter the stairway area beyond. Head up the stairs until you can see a door on your right through some distorted glass. Again, use your Thermal Vision, and wait for a guard to show up at the door and enter the area you are in. When he does so, descend all the way back down the stairs, as the terrorist will see you from the ledge above, if you remain on the stairs. Listen carefully and when you hear the door open and close again, head back up the stairs and approach the door. Before opening it, listen closely again and wait for another door to open and shut once more in the room beyond, and then enter the room quietly. Proceed over to the right from the door you entered to another door, and open this, entering a little outdoors balcony area. Be sure to close the door behind you, and then crouch again, getting a good look at the open area down below as you do while avoiding the windows along the wall to the left, as the guard inside can see you through the open ones. You should notice a large gas truck down below as well as a single guard patrolling the area. When the guard disappears behind the fuel truck from where you are, head over to the ladder to the left of the door and slide down it. Now turn around and follow the terrorist as he nears your objective but then turns around and heads the other way. Stay crouched to gain cover and wait until he is far away, back by the fuel truck, from the van with the opened rear doors back here. Look at the crate inside, while nearby, and hold down A to plant the explosives. o-----------------------------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Recon - Plant explosives in crate. | o-----------------------------------------------------------o o--------------------------------o | New Objective: Enter hangar. | o--------------------------------o Clark will now inform you of your next objective, and luckily, weapons are free, so take down the guards patrolling here and then look up at the balcony area where you came from. Another terrorist will run out of the door up here soon after he hears gunfire, so take him down as well. Now proceed diagonally to the right while facing away from the van where you planted the explosives to a door over in the corner by some trash bins. Open the door, and then quickly shoot down the terrorist directly ahead of you down the hallway before he can throw his tear gas grenade. Now proceed down the hallway, where it gets really intense. You should hear another terrorist outside throwing a grenade, but it's only a smoke. Watch the windows here, however, while standing back as an RPG will come flying through, busting the computers at the desk here. Wait a few more moments for a second RPG, and then approach the window. Flip on the Thermal Vision if you have trouble seeing through the shades, and shoot down a couple terrorists you see out here. There is one standing right beside the window, and another behind some barricades just beyond the first. When they are gone, crouch and peek out the door on the right. There will be a tango crouching just to the right, so take him down, and then watch that spot still for another terrorist that takes his place once dead. Eliminate this threat as well and then slowly creep outside. Look just around the corner to your right, through a little gap between the wall and some boxes and shoot down two terrorists in your line of sight here. Two more will run over from the right, so take them out as they appear, and then lob a grenade just through the gap between the wall and the boxes to scare out a terrorist camping behind there. Take down as well once he shows himself, and then look over to the left towards two small, parked aircraft. There is a terrorist hiding among them as well, so launch a grenade over there if you need to scare him out, and then pick him off. Now, sooner or later, you will hear another RPG being fired, which is coming from behind you. A terrorist appears up on the roof of the warehouse back here and always misses the first shot from his RPG to give you a chance to take him out. His aim on the second shot is not so forgiving, so quickly turn around and shoot him down. A few more enemies will enter the area from far down and to the right after you take down the tango with the RPG, so stay covered and pick them off as you see them. They like to run over and take cover behind other crates and boxes as well, so keep a sharp eye out for them. When it seems clear, toss another grenade through the gap between the box and the wall to scare out any other terrorist that may have inhabited that spot more recently. When it is truly clear, make your way down the area and head right at the end to a half-opened warehouse door. Look inside from afar and see if you can spot a terrorist patrolling the ground level. Shoot him down if you can and then head over to the right of the large door to a yellow outpost thing. Crouch and peek through the opening up to a ledge inside the warehouse. There will be a terrorist up there, so shoot as soon as you spot him, and then enter the warehouse, crouching under the door to get in. Proceed to the back right corner of the warehouse and enter the doorway there, continuing on to open the blue door just to the right of it. o--------------------------------------o | Objective Completed: Enter hanger. | o--------------------------------------o o--------------------------------o | New Objective: Chase Crespo. | o--------------------------------o Upon opening this door, you've entered the hangar area. Save your progress here and Clark will tell you to chase Crespo to his plane, where the "self-insurance policy" (bombing the plane) can take place. Peek over to the right from the doorway through another doorway here and you should notice some men collaborating. You should also notice a tango by a van further off. Shoot him down as he peeks out and then approach the doorway while crouching, and take out a couple more terrorists that were standing here with Crespo before he ran off. Look further to the left from the doorway to a little gap in between a large tool box and a lifting vehicle (you know, like they have at Home Depot) for another tango here. Pick him off and then look just above and further down from him. Eliminate the enemy you spot on the ledge up here and you may notice a few more terrorists pouring out of the room back there. They will run over to the same spots as before: by the van and by the tool box, so pick them off as you see them. When the area in front of you is clear, turn all the way around and look at the ledge just above the door you entered. Slowly creep backwards until you spot an enemy up there, who you should eliminate immediately. Now, from the direction you are facing, look over to the right and up some more to a high ledge where a terrorist stands with an RPG. Shoot him down before he can use it and then look down below for another tango hiding behind some crates on ground level. It should be safe to peek around the corner here to look further to the left, so do so, keeping your eye on the ledge just above the building. Take down one final terrorist up here in this area and it should be completely clear, unless you missed someone. Now head over to the right from where you are looking to an open doorway in the back left corner of the room. Make your way around the red and white striped barrier here and proceed through the doorway, continuing up the stairs to the left. At the top, continue on through the doorway to the right, and approach the next room with caution. Enter the room beyond and then immediately retreat back into the previous room, as three enemies down below to the left lob explosive grenades into the room. Once they go off, enter the room again while looking down and to the left through the windows and pick each of them off. Once they're gone, continue on through this narrow room and look to the right out the doorway at the end. Shoot down the tango camping just outside the room here and then exit and make your way down the stairs. At the bottom, proceed over to the pile of crates over to the right and grab cover behind them while looking back up at the windows to the room you came from. Watch for three terrorist torsos to run by and pick them off once you see them before they can get to you. As soon as they're gone, proceed through the doorway just beyond the crates to get back outside. Immediately look over to the right and pick off the terrorist you see here. Now proceed to the corner, and peek to the right around it. Eliminate the three final terrorists in your line of sight here, one nearby and two more behind the low wall further down. Once they're gone, you've completed the mission, and the game. This method of play is ideal if you have a number of Xbox consoles under the same roof, such as for a LAN party or tournament. If you have an Xbox Live account, you can play Rainbow Six 3 over the Internet, where you can always find plenty of teammates/opponents. Xbox Live also allows you to download new game content, such as game maps, and keep track of your Friends and the Players from the last game you played. If you don't have an Xbox Live account, you can open one by purchasing an Xbox Live Starter Kit. GAME TYPES Rainbow Six 3 supports five different multiplayer game types: * Cooperative: Mission - Play single-player missions with friends. * Cooperative: Terrorist Hunt - Hunt down terrorists without having to worry about hostages and other objectives * Adversarial: Survival - Play against friends, where the last player standing wins. * Adversarial: Team Survival - Divide into two teams, where the last team standing wins. Green team wears blue uniforms, while the Red team dears desert camouflage uniforms. * Adversarial: Sharpshooter - Play against friends, where the player with the most kills wins. When you die, you respawn and immediately re-enter the action. Cooperative modes support up to four players, while the adversarial modes support up to 16 players. Matches with poor Internet connections may not be able to support the maximum number of players. COMMUNICATIONS You can talk to other players using an Xbox Communicator headset. Gameplay Tips --------< O====================================O - For many missions, the recommended secondary mission is not a pistol, but I recommend taking one on all missions. It is useful to have one, especially when the ammo in the current magazine of your primary weapon runs out right in the middle of a firefight. It is handy to switch right to a pistol and keep shooting away. - Don't worry about aiming the center dot directly at wherever you want to hit a terrorist. The game has sort of a smart aiming system, meaning that if any part of a terrorist is within the surrounding circle, he'll get hit. - Reload whenever you have an opportunity and are in need. You never want to be caught with an empty clip while being fired upon. - Flash bang grenades are good assets to bring along in the single player game as well as in multiplayer. Whenever you aren't sure if an enemy lurks around a corner, just lob a flash bang grenade in that direction to blind any potential enemies and then proceed. - When you are low on health, try not to be the leader. For instance, have the rest of your team open and clear areas before you follow them in and have them check out areas before you go. Remember, your teammates can die without any consequences, but if you die, the mission is over. - Try to conserve your ammo and reload often. Martin Lindberg and Andrew Cooper explained to me that whenever you reload, and the magazine isn't completely empty, it is placed back in your inventory, whereas an empty magazine will be discarded. So if you reload your gun when the clip is half full, and then you use all of the rest of your clips, you will load this one again with the number of rounds it previously had left. "Simply put, the game does not treat your ammo as one big pile of bullets, but rather as a collection of magazines, each with their own inventory of bullets. Only completely empty magazines are dropped and discarded. Magazines which still contain bullets when you reload are placed in the magazine inventory. So if you go around reloading every time you fire some bullets, you will finally end up with lots of half full mags." - You can shoot through doors. When I finally discovered this I loved it and shot through doors all the time, being a big Counter-Strike buff (you can shoot through many things in that game). If you think there might be an enemy on the other side of the door, just shoot a few rounds through it, provided you have a powerful enough gun. Sometimes you can hear a terrorist grunt on the other side of a door. Note: Shotguns rounds, though powerful, do not penetrate doors. - Dan sucks at life. Try not to be like him.
