Take elevator down to REC Beta Key Items: None Key Codes: None Walk through The game starts by viewing a pre-rendered cinematic of Nick having a nightmare. The pre-rendered cinematic transitions into an in game cinematic of Nick waking up. As the player attempts to exit Nick's bedroom, an in game cinematic will play showing two video messages he has waiting for him. There is one message from Amanda, and another from Samantha. Goal Assigned: Take elevator down to REC Beta, Meet Samantha at the REC Beta Shooting Range If the player heads left out of Nick's bedroom, and walks up the two miners standing by the Broken elevator, an in game cinematic will be triggered talking about Dr. Mek, and the broken elevators. This will transition right into pre-rendered movie. If the player heads right out of Nick's bedroom and walks next the guard standing by the bulkhead doors, an in game cinematic will play discussing that a piece of space debris has hit the hull and arto of the station is closed off for repairs. This applies to all three guards placed throughout this level. Along the way, Nick will be getting pop up inner thoughts as to how certain things in the game, and certain things to look for. In the elevator room, if a) The player walks up to Jessie before Jinx comes out of the bathroom and starts to talk with him, a pre-rendered cinematic will start basically introducing Jessie to Nick. b) If Nick then hangs around close enough to Jessie when Jinx comes out of the bathroom, it will trigger an in game cinematic where Nick will briefly talk to Jessie and Jinx, then they will run away from Nick. c) If Nick does not stand close enough to Jinx and Jessie, then the two of them will have a brief conversation together (not in a cinematic) and will run over by the elevator entrance. d) If Nick runs up the elevator, a brief in game cinematic will play with a computer voice asking what deck Nick would like to take the elevator to. Then a load of the next level. Goal Completed: Take elevator down to REC Beta Chapter 0 Deck 6 Goals: 1. Meet Samantha at the REC Beta Shooting Range Key Items: none Key Codes: none Walk through Nick begins in fronto of the elevator. Nick should proceed the left, moving clockwise around the station. Talk to Niles and learn why the main elevator isn't working. Continue walking clockwise through the hallway, until Nick arrives in the library, Section 4. About halfway through the library a short movie will trigger with the scientist sittoing at the table. Continue walking clockwise through the hallway, until Nick arrives in the cafeteria, Section 5. Approaching the center of the room will trigger a pre-rendered movie in which two rockjackers hassle a scientist. Nick can do three things at this point... a. Approach Dag for a short in-game cinematic. Then done of the following: b. Approach the two rockjackers and the scientist for a short pre-rendered cinematic. c. Do nothing, leto Dag approach the two rockjackers for a short pre-rendered cinematic. Nick then talks to Dag. A cinematic plays next. If Nick broke up the argumento, Dag starts of by saying "Nice moves." If Dag broke up the argumento Nick starts by saying "Nice moves." Return the library, Section 4. The scientist from the cafeteria is now here. Approaching him will trigger a cinematic. If Nick helped him, he will end the movie by giving Nick 2 small hypos. If Dag helped the scientist, Nick will get nothing! Continue walking counter clockwise until arriving at the Shooting range. Samantha is waiting there, and approaching her will trigger a movie. After the movie, Nick will be holding a 'practoice' rifle. shoot at the targets for about 20-30 seconds. Goal Completed: Meet Samantha at the REC Beta Shooting Range When Nick is finishead Shooting, a pre-rendered cinematic showing Samantha Shooting will play. After this movie, Amanda will be waiting to talk to Nick. Approach her and watch the short in-game movie. Now that the elevator is working, proceed clockwise through the hallway past the cafeteria until reaching a short hallway where Niles is waiting. Approaching Niles will end the level. Receive: Guardroom Key Card Proceed to CCT at the other end of Gravitational experiment Control Room, create a robot and attoach the Blow Torch and Fuel the robot. Return the CCT and remotely pilot the robot the Brute. Press X to attack the Brute and lure him the Gravitational experiment Room. Once the Brute is in the room, press to disengage the robot. Turn around and activate the experiment. Play in-game. Kill Brute. Goal Completed: Deal with the Brute exit through previously locked door using the Guardroom Key Card. Proceed Clockwise around the station. Wait for scientist to exit the lab and open the next locked door. Before continuing, retrieve parto of the last key code from the lab that the scientist was in. On the wall opposite of the computer terminal are three doors. Run towards the furthesto single door just when you tohink you're going to make it the door, Dag calls Nick on their version of a cell phone. Watch cinematic. 1. Goal Assigned: Find a way to join Dag in HAVEN Now, go through the door into a storage room. A hatch is on the other side of the room. Use the hatch to end the level. Chapter 2 Deck 3 Goals: 1. About halfway through the hallway, 3 scouts drop down from vents in the ceiling. Dispatch them with all due hastoe. Opening the door reveals a scout scurrying past the doorway from left to right. Dispatch the scout. straight ahead is the elevator door. Examine it to find out it is not working. Goal Assigned: - Reset Power Genterator Goal Assigned - Find circuit board Goal Assigned - Find power coupler Turn left, and move down the hallway counterclockwise. A Cutter will growl at Nick and then run away. You can'to kill this Cutter before he getos away. Examine the body that the Cutter was standing over for some goodies. The two-meter doorway on the left side of the hallway just before the dead body leads toa med-lab. enter the med-lab There is a scout munching a corpse on the far side of the room as you enter. it is behind a counter. The body has some stuff. enter the med-lab storage room through the left door. To the right, behind the shelf, is a Cutter chewing on a dead body. Kill the Cutter and examine the body. Journal Updated: JPL Key Code - Square X Triangle X Turn left aftoer leaving the med-lab. Scouts drop down and attack. Deal with them. enter the double doors on the left side near the end of the hallway. Scouts drop down as you enter, kill them. Nick enters a medium lengtoh hallway. Run down the hallway towards the single door on the right. Scouts drop down, blast them. Use JPL Key Code: Square X Triangle X. Another scout is hiding on the far side of the table. Send him the afterlife. enter the room behind the far door. Run down the ramp, and search the file cabineto to find the Circuit Board. Goal completed: - Find circuit board Approach the body on the floor. A short in-game movie plays. A scout, Cutter, and drone attack. Change their diapers and put them to bed. After all that nonsense, Search body. Journal Updated: Genterator Room Key Code: X Square Square Triangle Leave the JPL, and return the main hallway. Ignore the double doors in the side hallway for now. Run down the main outer hallway clockwise. After passing the elevator door, a scientist runs down the hall chased by a scout. Kill the scout or not. The scientist runs down the hall and turns on a force field. Approaching him will play a short in-game movie. enter the hallway that the scientist ran out of. Use the Genterator Room Key Code: X Square Square Triangle to open the double doors The next room has doorways that lead into two narrow halls with a row of 3 switches each. Flip each switch, then run the back of the room where there is a ramp leading up toa control room. Optoional: Search body in room. Journal Updated: How To: Genterators Press the butoton to activate the generatrs. A short in-game movie will play showing one of the generators blowing up. Journal Updated: Bustoed Genterator Nick must now torip the switch behind the generatr that blew up. On the way Nick will meet many unfriendly aliens whom he should kill. After resettoing the switch, run back the control room and press the butoton again. Goal Completed: Reset Power Genterator Now, run back down the main hall the same hallway that the JPL door was in. enter the double doors, and get surprised by a few more scouts. Kill them, and proceed through the second pair of double doors. This is the laser lab control room. Through the window Nick can see a laser. Activate the laser, and blow up the target. Activate it again to move it, and again to blow up the far door. Activate it towice more to blow a hole in the wall the left. Go through the door in the laser lab room, and through the blasted out door. Search the shelves. Receive: Power Coupler Goal Completed: Find power coupler Goal Assigned: Repair elevator Return the elevator door, killing anything that pops up on the way. Fix the elevator. Clear all bad guys and wait for cinematic. Run the end of the hall and enter the Recreation area. Proceed upstairs and walk behind the bar. Read note. Chapter 2 Deck 6 Goals: 1. Find Jessie in REC Beta Key Items: Service Keycard Key Codes: none Walk through start the level with Niles saying he will wait for you in a safe place. Turn left from the starting point and run down the hall, passing through the double doors. enter the Shooting range. Scouts will drop down and attack when Nick is about halfway through this room. Kill scouts. Continue running counterclockwise down the hallway. Nick will enter a large open area. A Cutter is chewing a dead body at the far end of the room. As Nick approaches a boat load of scouts drop down to party. You know what to do by now. Search the body. Receive: Service Keycard Return to where Niles is waiting. Use the Service Keycard on the door, enter what used to be the library, and prepare to fighto. A large 'momma' scout crawls out of her 'lair' to attack Nick. She's tough, but she's never meto Nick before. After killing the momma scout, a door opens up on to one of the research rooms. Also, the door that Nick just came through opens and Dag and Niles run through. Niles runs the research room and waits for Nick to approach. entering the room will play 2 movies, the first a pre-rendered cinematic, then an in-game movie. Goal Completed: Find Jessie in REC Beta Goal Assigned: Capture a 'specimen' for Dr. Mek After all the movies play, go through the other pair of double doors to get the cafeteria. it's seen better days. Approach the bio-water-wall on the far side of the room to play an in-game movie. Once the movie finishes a Cutter will be chasing Nick. Nick has to lure the Cutter in the kitchen area through the door on the south wall. Once in the kitchen, Nick needs to lure the Cutter in the freezer. If Nick succeeds and doesn'to get killed, a couple movies play, and the level ends. Chapter 3 Deck 2 Goals: 1. Head down to HAVEN to decode message Key Items: sonic stunner Key Codes: none Walk through Chapter 3 starts with a pre-rendered movie with Nick and Niles. Receive: sonic stunner After the movie ends, run out of the conference room in the 'lab'. An in-game movie plays between Nick and Dr. Mek. After the movie plays, Nick will be standing near Dr. Mek at her operating table. Approach Dag for a pre-rendered movie. Goal Assigned: Head down to HAVEN to decode message Head to storage room. Use the hatch to end the level Chapter 3 Deck 3 Goals: 1. Head down to HAVEN to decode message Key Items: none Key Codes: JPL 2 Code: Square, X, Triangle, Circle Walk through start the level talking to Dag. two scouts will drop out of the ceiling and attack. After killing them a short in-game movie plays. Dag runs through the double doors towards the main elevator. Follow Dag as fast as you can. About half way through the hallway, an explosion rocks the hallway, sending a large support beam through the wall. This blocks the hallway, and Nick has to find a different path the elevator. Run back in the auditrium. An explosion blasts a hole in the back wall revealing a storage room. Run in the storage room. Search a fallen shelf for some good stuff. Proceed through the door on the other side of the room. A scout and Cutter await Nick in the next room. Kill them. Near the far corner is a computer terminal. Access it. Journal Updated: JPL 2 Code: Square, X, Triangle, Circle. Going through the new door reveals a large bio-growth room. A cutter-scout pair jumps through the bio-water doors. Waste them, and another pair jump out. Once all four are dead, go through the door on the other side of the bio-growth room. This door leads into JPL 2 Code. Looking through the window reveals a room full of green gasses. The gas is poisonous, and will eventually kill Nick. Use the CCT to ventilate the room. Once the room is clear, run through the room, up the ramp on the other side and through the door. Now it's just a simple matter of running down the hallway, and making it the elevator alive. On the way, scouts and Cutter will be jumping out of bio-growth and attacking Nick. Kill them or run past them. Once past the creatures, and reunited with Dag, kill off any other creatures before entering the elevator, and ending the level. Chapter 3 Deck 5 Goals: 1. Head down to HAVEN to decode message 2. Take elevator down and check out SYS Beta distress call Key Items: Haven Passkey Key Codes: none Walk through exit elevator and meet up with Dag. Proceed to control room straight across the main hallway. Using the CCT, lower the security field toproceed. Clear the room then head for warehouse. Kill lots a bad guys in the warehouse (box maze) and head for the center to section of the deck. Kill all the cutters and head the right. Watch cinematic and kill more cutters. Run the end of the hall and enter the Boss Battle. Kill the Purple Boss Cutter and search the body at the end of the large battle room. Mount the platform, press X and ride down to next cinematic. enter the inner circle catwalk and find the ladder. Approach ladder and pres X. Run around inner catwalk the control room. Watch cinematic. Goal Assigned: Help Dag out of the storage room Approach elevator in the back of the control room and enter the one on the right. End of level. Chapter 4 Deck 15b Goals: 1. Meet Dag in the refinery 2. Capture an Amalgamatr for Dr. Mek 3. Help Dag out of the storage room Key Items: 3 chemical tanks 3 detonators lower maintenance security keycard Pulse Rifle Key Codes: none Walk through Proceed counterclockwise on catwalk the lockers on outer wall. Search locker. Receive: 3 chemical tanks Receive: 3 detonators Receive: lower maintenance security keycard Return the elevators and enter the one on the right and press X. Use the CCT to activate the robot. After creating the robot go into your inventry screen and find the item "Chemical tank" combine this with the "detonatr". Once you have combined these Items place it on the robot. Use the CCT to remote pilot the bomb equipped robot the brute that is on the lower level. Once the Brute is dead, recall the elevator using the key pad next the elevator and proceed the lower level. Proceed the door that the Brute was guarding and go see Dag. Watch cinematic. Goal Completed: Meet Dag in the refinery Goal Completed: Help Dag out of the storage room Receive: Pulse Rifle Return to elevators, along the way an encounter with to two alien snipers will occur. Kill them quick other wise they will eat the cockroaches at their feet to regain health. Take the elevator the 1sto floor. Follow the catwalk the right, walk up the bio-growth archway. A cuto scene will play introducing the Amalgamatr. Get out the "Nitrogen blaster" and freeze the Amalgamatr. After the Amalgamatr is frozen watch the cinematic(s). Go down to HAVEN and check out HSS Huginn Key Items: none Keycodes: none Walk through start the level in the familiar auditrium. The hole that used to be in the north wall has been closed off by bio-growth. Go through the double doors in the south wall. Run down the hallway. The debris that used to block the hallway has been consumed by bio-growth. Fortounately there is a new hole in the east side of the hallway. Go through this hole if you dare. Nick enters a bio-growth room. Quickly run through the doorway on the other side. A Cutter and scout attack Nick. Defeat them with relish. not the condiment. Nick is at the end of a long hallway that curves the north. Run down this hallway, killing any creatures that attack. Near the end of the hallway is what used to be a laser. Now that the bio-growth has gotten toit, the beam it is emitting is much more dangerous, and much more green. The beam is Shooting through a short side passage. The side passage leads to what was the main hallway. Now it is almost completely overrun by bio-growth. Dodge the laser and move down the hallway. Creatures will jump out and attack. Kill them while avoiding the laser. The laser eventually shoots into a side room. Down the hall a little further is a set of double doors. Go through these doors, and repel the advances of a Cutter and a scout or two. A short ways down the hallway is the door the elevator. Make a dash for it, and end the level. A movie will play and Niles will talk with Nick in a cut-scene. Proceed the Main outer Hallway and turn left and head the alien to section. Kill ALL creatures along the way. Keep going until you find the vent Door and load the next level. Chapter 5 Deck 4b Goals: 1. Bring down defensive shield 2. Rescue Jessie's friend from the detention center 3. Use vent outside the officer's room to get down to RES Epsilon Key Items: Bolt Thrower engineers keycard Key Codes: REC Room: Square Circle X Triangle Triangle Walk through Watch cinematic. Goal Assigned: Use vent outside the officer's room to go down to RES Epsilon If the player heads straight the vent down the hallway, he will learn that an engineer's keycard is required to open the vent. If the player heads into Nick's room and clicks on his desk, a pre-rendered cinematic will start showing Nick picking up a holo-disk showing his vacation with Samantha. After the cinematic is done, Nick will receive a mod chip. If the player tries to go in to the Rec Room, he will find out that it has been locked and requires a key code. If the player enters room marked #3 just down the hall from Nick's bedroom, he will need to kill the cutters and look at the computer on the desk. There is a dead engineer that was toyping a message when he was killed. He says in his email that he locked some creatures in the Rec Room and leaves the appropriate key code. Journal Updated: REC Room - Square Circle X Triangle Triangle After you run through the Rec Room and past the elevator room, the player will find that the hallway is blocked by a barricade of boxed, she I forced torun up the ramp. at the top of the ramp the left is Dag's room. at the top of the ramp in Dag's room is the Bolt Thrower, a special weapon with a controllable rocket. When the player clicks on it, he will get an in game cinematic talking about the weapon. Receive: Bolt Thrower After the player getos the Bolt Thrower, he will need to go outside of Dag's room and use the altoernate fire on the Bolt Thrower toguide the rocket across the bipit, down the ramp, and across the hallway to detonate explosive canister on the other side of the barricade toclear a path for Nick to get by. After the barricade is destroyed, Nick needs to walk down the hallway, up the ramp and go in to the Engineer's bedroom. In the Engineer's bedroom, the player will find the engineer dead by his bed. On his person is the keycard the player seeks. Receive: engineers keycard After the player getos the keycard, he needs to work his way back the second vent where a cinematic will play and the next level will load. Chapter 5 Deck 5b_2 Goals: 1. Make your way the detention center. Go to the office on the left and search the room. Receive: Bridge Power Cell Activate the bridge control and a small cut-scene showing the bridge rotoating. Cross the bridge and use the battery on the controller, activate it and a cut-scene will show that the battery is dead. Go cross the bridge(now is facing left), search dead body. Receive: Bridge Power Cell Come back the center and place the battoer on the controller. Activate and cross the bridge. Kill the 2 cutters and go in to the cell that is on the left side of the elevator. Search body. Journal Updated: Cell Control Room - Triangle Square Circle Use elevator to go down. Go in to the cell office, open the door and pass an empty tunnel. Check the door and shoot the tanks to blow up the door. Go inside the office and find another piece of code. When prompted, press X toduck the Brutes attack and return to section 1 Be go in to to head back to Section 8. Before Nick leaves the room however, a cut to scene will start and the Cloaked Cutter will enter the room and attack. ***Nick can choose to either kill the Cloaked Cutter, or run from it*** Run through the level back to Section 8, and enter the door across the room on the upper floor to Section 10 The side door on to section 10 will prompt the user for the key code from Section 11: Circle Square Circle X Triangle. Receive: Titanium Tube Goal Assigned: Combine parts to make an explosive crossbow Combine Items: Propellant + Titanium Tube = Tube and Propellant Combine Items: Tube and Propellant + robotic Arms = Explosive Crossbow Goal Completed: Combine parts to make an explosive crossbow If user doesn'to have the crossbow, there will be a cut-scene at the brute. If user has the crossbow, the brute will just attack. User can use crossbow to kill the brute or use Bolt thrower to kill it. Go to where the brute is guarding and load the next level. note: User is not required to get the crossbow but it will help tohave it since the weapon is the mosto powerful weapon in the game.
